Special Nonexistent Furniture

Tips
Wrap colorful paper around jars of hot fudge, caramel, and whipped cream cans to cover up boring labels.
Create visual interest by varying the heights of bowls, plates, and toppings. Cake stands or a sturdy box covered in fun paper will do the trick!
Wow your guests with these unconventional, but delicious ice cream/topping combos: peanut butter ice cream and jam; strawberry ice cream, balsamic vinegar, and strawberry slices; and caramel ice cream and salted popcorn.
To keep the ice cream from melting, place the containers in a beverage tub filled with ice.
Refreshments are a must! Make sure you have plenty of water and lemonade on hand for your guests.

As the dog days of summer come to a close, celebrate
with the season's signature treat--ice cream. Set up an ice cream bar in the backyard complete with rainbow sprinkles, crunchy waffle cones, and yummy hot fudge. Invite the neighborhood or make it a family affair, either way, this ice cream party is sure to be a hit!

One of our favorite bloggers, Jessica of Four Generations One Roof, shows us how she created her very own poolside ice cream social.
