Inspiration comes from all around us, especially for Erika Johnson, a self-professed lover of design with no formal training. She writes about her love for home decor, fashion and style. If you feel like you need a more dramatic change, create a focal point using the autumn palette. The Titanium grey and variation of a deep Pink Flambe contrast the white mantel beautifully. They certainly have a moody effect. And would you believe this wallpaper (above) is temporary? (It is.)

To tickle your Ultramarine Green fancy, try something even bolder. The chevron pattern of this dining room is almost as daring as the repurposed box spring chandelier that hangs above. Overdosing on a bold shade doesn't seem as frightful when the rest of the room remains understated. Take the browns and blacks (above), for example.
