#2 Tile Rug
Use ceramic, porcelain, or even glass tile to mimic the look of an area rug in a bathroom or entryway. In a skinny or L-shaped bathroom, create a runner instead of a rectangular rug for a striking statement.
If you're planning to DIY a tile rug, lay it out and play with the placement of the tiles a bit. Then, work in small sections as you apply the thinset or grout to set it all in place. Finally, install the rest of the tile around it.
