From corralling clutter in a kids' room to gathering tools in the garage, we share clever ways to use a cart.
1. Garden Potting Cart
A designated garden cart makes it easy to take all of your necessities from the front yard to the back without any heavy lifting. Keep your cart stocked with tools, gloves, pots, soil, a sun hat, and a gardening book (or a portable radio for tunes!).
Tip! When it's planting season, consider the cart your staging area. Work on one part of the yard at a time and gather everything you'll need for that section on the cart.
2. Garage Tool Cart
Not just for tools, a cart in the garage can contain painting supplies, car essentials, safety gear, and more. Keep similar items together in mesh metal baskets or bins, so they're easy to see and find.
Tip! When you're in the middle of a project, hang the tools you're using from the cart's handle for easy access.
3. Kids' Activity Cart
Create a portable activity center for your kiddos, so they can play no matter where they are. Gather messy items (paints, markers, playdough) into baskets, while books can be stacked or reined in by bookends.
