  • 'Tis the season to be crafty! Every year I find myself doing a little holiday craft project. This year it was decorating glass globe ornaments. As I was in the process one of my little ones asked if she could help. The glass ornament was just too fragile (one had already broke!) and so I had to decline her offer. It made me think of holiday crafts that would be great for the little ones in our lives! Here are five of my fave handmade holiday gifts kids can make:
  • 1. Ornaments

Instead of glass ornaments, pick up plastic globe ornaments at a local craft store and let your kids decorate them. Another option is clay ornaments, especially clay that air dries. These handmade ornaments make fabulous gifts!
  • 2. Snowglobes

Snow globes are a fun craft for kids and great gifts for the grandparents. I love this one in an old-fashioned canning jar featuring a vintage car with a Christmas tree tied on top. Isn't it adorable?
  • 3. Yarn Pom poms

Yarn craft projects have always been great for kids, and that's why I like these darling animal pom poms. They would be fun hanging as garland in a kid's room or tied to a Christmas gift.
  • 4. Tea Towels

Tea towels are a practical gift that moms love. Make them by using textiles paints in your favorite color palette, white tea towels, and cut carrots as stamps. Let your kids create their own playful designs!
  • felt pinecones
  • 5. Felt Pinecones

Love these fun pinecones made of felt! String one as a tree ornament or several to create festive holiday garland. Either way, it makes a great homemade gift.

Would love to hear your handmade gift ideas kids could make too!

    Happy holidays,
