This lateral file cabinet is both beautiful and functional, It looks like a credenza but has two pull out drawers that holds either regular or legal files. The finish is that which you would expect for a fine piece of wood furniture. Couldnt be happier . Also, I had shopped around with other distributers for the piece and Wayfair saved me more than 800.00 and delivery charges. Thanks Wayfair!!!!!

Service Review

The in home delivery took away the reservations of on line purchase of a large piece of furniture. The delivery people were very accomodating, they uncrated the piece out side, placed the cabinet where I wanted it indoors and took away the packing material. I wasnt asked to sign for it until it was placed and inspected by me

I love this piece but it is much darker than the picture. I would say this shows it looking more in the oak family but it is truely DARK cherry. Be prepared for a very dark piece of furniture.

The piece is wonderfully built. Very heavy and quite solid. The design is also very nice, it fits in well with antiques I have scattered about the house. My only letdown with the piece is that it did not match the picture as well as I would have hoped. The color of the piece is quite a bit darker and a little more red. It looks more like a Mahogany than this lighter, almost dark-honey colored Cherry. We also do not have the beautiful graining as seen in the photo (which we were looking forward to because of the antiques already in the house). Overall I'd say I am happy with the piece, but I would warn that the picture is no guarantee of how the wood will really look in person.
