This island is way beyond expectations. First, it is solid wood, no particle board. The instructions are in English ( not translated English). All the parts are marked (with a sticker so there is no doubt) It tells you there will be so many screws plus "one extra" and there were. Each package of screws are marked as to what they are. The diagrams are very specific about the order to put it together. ALL THE HOLES LINED UP!!!! save one and it just took a minor adjustment. The screw holes are lined with metal to receive screw and hold in place. It was packed extremely well with each piece wrapped or covered with hard styrofoam so there was no rubbing of pieces. My husband and I put it together in about 2 hours (taking our time). There are a couple of places that kind of need 2 people but could be done with one. We put it together on top of another table for the most part so we could stand up. When finished, it is extremely sturdy, rolls easily ( husband says it has "the really good castors") and is way more that we had expected. It is at least a $500 piece of furniture. I looked at one at another store (Ta.....t) for the same money that was all particle board. Boy, am I glad I found this one. If you can't tell, we are very well pleased. Thanks again. Oh, was ordered on Tuesday, arrived on Thursday with Wayfair free shipping. Unbelievable service!!!!!
Perfect was just what I wanted!

Having just renovated our kitchen I realized I need just a bit more cabinet & countertop space. I opted to find a kitchen cart that could double as an island. We have natural hickory cabinets and after looking at literally hundreds of carts I found this one hoping that it would look like the pictures and the finish would truly be natural and blend with our cabinets. It did! My husband was pleased that it was fairly easy to put assemble and he was impress that the quality was much better than he thought it would be given the low price in fact he said the quality was much better with real wood components than the carts we looked at that were 3 times higher in price. I am totally sold on this product it is just the right size and adds enough extra counter & storage space I need in the kitchen.
Great cart, average instructions
Earth Mama from Houston, TX
Love this cart. I'd been looking for months for a good cart with the features I wanted at a reasonable price. Found this one and based on the other reviews, decided to order it. Keeping in mind the other reviews about the so-so instructions, I tasked my husband and 11 yo son with assembly. They put it together in about two hours. The primary comments on assembly were that the instructions weren't clear about which end was up on some of the pieces since they could begin to be assembled in either direction, and that hand held power tools are your friend. Otherwise, the casters have not given me problems as is commented in some other reviews. The quality of the pieces seems to be well above the price point for the cart. The wood does have some sort of urethane finish on it that makes the water bubble on the surface though I wouldn't necessarily test it by leaving water sitting since the cart is made from wood. The magnets for the doors hold quite well and the drawer slides seem to be snug but smooth. The shelves inside the two door sections do have three levels for height selection. A nice touch for adjusting to store different height items. The towel role removes quite easily but we haven't used it yet because the baby would love to unroll a fresh paper towel roll but it does function superbly as another towel rack. You can't have too many of those in a kitchen. The spice rack has another rod underneath for hanging towels or hooks for maybe potholders. All in all, a great buy and I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a kitchen cart that does NOT come with wine storage.[...]
Worth every penny -- great value

We use this product as extra counter space and storage primarily, and food presentation (buffet-style) secondarily. For counter space, you definitely get what you pay for -- it's as large as my coffee table; but keep in mind that the rest of the island below the counter space is not as large, which, depending on what you're looking for, can be good or bad. It was good for us, as the overhang in the back leaves room for stools to pull up under. We used the side just under the paper towel holder to hang a pot lid rack -- very handy. There are other reports that the wheels don't keep the island in place, which I can't comment on, as I don't do much actual food prep on it, but I haven't had any problems with it thus far, pulling it in and out whenever I need. The storage space is also quite adequate and currently holds two large pasta pots, all my colanders and mixing bowls, a few pans, a rice cooker, and even our George Foreman Grill(tm). Better and clearer included instructions would have put this at 5/5 stars. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Great storage and versatility

We got this kitchen island to help create a "kitchen" area in another room. It's really nice and packed well for delivery! Assembling it took me a couple of days to do--there's a lot to it! The island is versatile in that it can be used as an island, but we have it against a wall (there's a gap behind it with it this way) to create counter space near a fridge. The back is finished off nicely, which is a good touch if it's going to be used for an island. For those who like solid wood, this does have some wood byproduct component to some parts (i.e., it's not solid wood--there are some veneers over likely MDF). Overall, it adds a lot of storage with two shelves (one divider) in each cupboard, two drawers, and three shelves in the center. One of the drawers didn't line up properly (it hit the top and wouldn't close) so that the drawer glide needed realignment, which is the only reason for taking a star off.

I bought this and assembled it for a friend. It looks great and is really good quality. This was a few years ago and it is still in great shape. It wasn't the easiest to assemble but it was worth the price.

The kitchen cart arrived safe and in only two days from ordering. I took my time and had it assembled in about 3 hours. I use it as an island on wheels in my kitchen. I left off the towel rack and condiment extension on purpose to give me more space & flexibility, but I could attach them if iI choose. I bought it for $322.46 but was disappointed when it listed for $309.00 the very next day. Maybe Wayfair can be a good sport and refund me the difference, particularly if they want me to by a dreeser with entertainment section sometime in the future. Good Luck!

pros-pretty wood, good design, and fits well in my kitchen, looks very nice. I like the doors and shelves on it, and it is decent quality. Cons- It is not quite as large as my last one, even tho it measures the same, because it included the paper towel rack on one side, and spice rack on the other. I'd prefer to have more table space instead. The locks do not work very well, because when someone leans against it as my disabled husband tends to do, it moves in spite of the wheels being locked;it has only two wheels that lock. It takes quite a while to put together, and can be quite daunting-plan on two people. I searched for quite a while for the right one, and for the money, this is worth the price, and looks nice in my kitchen.

My kitchen in our rented townhouse is really small and I didn't have nearly enough space for all my kitchen stuff. I really like the extra space and counter space. It's great that it's on wheels! Drawers could be a little wider so a standard sliverware holder would fit. It went together fairly easily but you do need two sets of hands.

This cart came in just as it was shown on the web site. Everyone thinks i paid more for it than i did. It is solid construction. I love that the cart has wheels so i can move it around and clean behind it. I feel the quality is better than i thought it would be. I am so happy with this purchase.
