A Handsome Cart with Minor Flaws
FloridaGuy from Altamonte Springs, FL
[...] The finish of the individual parts is protected by wrapping each piece individually in foam sheeting, and the integrity of the package is maintained by thick layers of rigid foam. The granite top is separately mounted in a wooden frame amply surrounded by rigid foam. [...]The step-by step instructions are very clear and easily followed. Alignment of individual parts is maintained by pre-glued dowel pins which fit into pre-drilled holes, so the assembly process is simply fitting the pins from each part into the matching holes on the mating part. This eventually leads to a structure which is shaky until the top stretchers are in place. At this point four machine screws are used to attach each end panel to the top and bottom stretchers and the entire structure becomes completely rigid (and stays that way). Not all of the holes are precisely where they should be, which required shaving two dowel pins in order to move one of the uprights about 1/32" so as to be perfectly flush with the top stretcher. (A wood screw run down through the stretcher into the end of the upright secured it in place after the adjustment.) If you are fussy about fit be prepared to do a little of this. The drawer parts are assembled with all-purpose screws which are driven through pre-drilled holes in the sides into pre-drilled holes in the back and front pieces. A plywood bottom is then slid into slots in the sides and front and secured with small screws. A power drill or screw driver is useful (but not required) when putting the drawers together. The fit of the drawer parts is the only shortcoming. Small tolerance errors accumulated on some of the drawers so that the fronts were not exactly square with the glider rails. This caused some drawer fronts to gap at the top when closed. Shimming the rails with small washers cured the problem.Attaching the top is easy. Blocks of wood bonded to the underside of the granite index the corners of the top with those of the cabinet so you and your helper (a MUST) simply lift the top in place and move it around slightly until the indexing blocks fit, then lower it in place. It's heavy enough that it's not going anywhere after that!Bottom line: the material and finish are excellent, the hardware is good (and thoughtfully has extras) and the finished appearance is really very handsome. It fits in perfectly with our cabinets which are natural maple. My wife is delighted with the extra storage space in addition to the work space. The dimensions are perfect for a medium sized kitchen. With the slight caveats above, I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely love this kitchen cart. It looks like the photo -- beautiful and sturdy. I have a small kitchen that transitions into the living space and this only opens up the area and looks nice, while providing the extra storage and counter space I need to cook and prepare food. The granite countertop was exactly what I was looking for. I like the side container for cooking oils and wine. It took a while to put together, but I have assembled a lot of Ikea furniture and found this to be easier than that. Overall I'm very pleased.
A Great Cart For Smaller Kitchen

Love the cart. The colours are exactly a shown. It took my husband avout 2 12 hours to put it together. The only disappointmnet was that the wheels do not solidly lock down so the cart moves a bit when in lock mode and that is a git frustrating. Also the one door does keeps opening on its own, so my husband will have to readjust the cupboard.
I have a new best friend!

Don't know about the cart just yet (putting it together tonight) but I paid $460 for this kitchen cart a week ago - saw a sale pop up on Facebook, so I checked it out. It's now on sale for $380. Called and they refunded me the difference no questions asked PLUS for every purchase you make on this site, wayfare.com, they give you 3 back to use on the site. Rewards expires in like 90 days, but still! A++ Wayfair.com!

This kitchen cart is everything I wanted and more. Some people remarked that it was difficult to assemble, but my husband and I did it in less than a half day. It does at times need two people.

We are enjoying this cart. Easy to assemble, clear instructions, no missing pieces (actually a few extra just in case) and it looks very nice. The way it was packed (2 boxes) was great. The boxes looked like they had been abused some but the packing was so good that neither the cart nor the granite top were damaged. The granite adds the finishing touch to the cart!
I hope it is as Pictured

I haven't opened my Kitchen Cart yet, because I am going to Florida for the winter. I am sure it will be exactly what I wanted. I needed it before I left for FIorida so I asked how long it would take to have it delivered and was told it would be here by Friday, well it was delivered Thursday, which was a great surprise.

There was great difficulty putting drawers together the predrilled holes were not accurate on one of the back of drawer and the wood split. I called the company they wanted a picture which I sent but they sent me the wrong piece. I need to call again. The cabinets are not deep but it is easily moved which is nice.

I'm 65 yrs old woman and put this piece together myself. Directions were good. I needed help in lifting granite for last stage. Fits in perfectly with my updated kitchen.
Great Style, Value and Easy to Assemble
Micki from Charlotte, North Carolina– Verified Buyer
I was hesitant to purchase this over the internet because the photos don't show the quality of the granite. However, when it arrived I was surprised at the quality of the granite, the wood and the contruction. Never before have I enjoyed putting together a piece of furniture as much as I did with this island. All of the parts and hardware were in the box. The parts were labeled and at first it looked daunting but once I laid out everything assembly went pretty quickly. Even though they recommend 2 people, I put it together by myself and I'm a 55 yo woman. The quality of this piece is par excellence at what you might find at any home improvement store or national retailer. It looks good and the top actually looks better than the contractor-grade countertops in my kitchen! They will now need to be upgraded. You can't go wrong with the price, construction and packaging. There was no damage at all. I'm very pleased.
