Nice looking quality set but........ We wish that the chairs could have gone all the way under the table.

Fairly happy with the look and feel. As mentioned by other reviewers, the chairs are pretty heavy and sturdy. The only critic is that the chairs don't push already in under the table, probably because of the depth of the chairs themselves and the size of the table. Also, I wished the chairs had horizontal bars across the bottom between the legs where you can rest your feet onto. Other than that, we're happy with our purchase.

I would not order this product again. In fact if it wouldn't be so much work to take it apart and try to repackage I would sent it back. There is a flaw in the wood on one of the chairs and it looks horrible. The chairs are really uncomfortable to sit in and all but one of them wobble. We purchased this piece for our dining room and it is horrible to sit through a meal in one of these chairs.

Wonderful product. It was easy to assemble, is warm and attractive for my family and guest. The table and chairs are sturdy, beautifully styled and after several months of looking at sets, this one fits all of my expectations.

This dining set is fairly substantial and looks like it would stand up to quite a few years worth of abuse, important to me as I have two small children.The set went together very smoothly, it took me about two hours to get all the pieces unpacked and assembled. I was impressed with how the set was packed, lots of polystyrene foam and paper wrapping and sturdy cartons.Assembly was a snap, just a few allen-head screws per item and you're done. The only issue I had was with the first chair, which wobbled a little bit. The solution was to slacken off all the allen-head screws a little, place the chair upright and sit in in, rocking side-to-side and back and forth a bit. Then I carefully flipped the chair over and re-tightened all the screws. Problem solved. Didi this with the remaining three chairs and no wobbles. I was a little worried about my oldest child (5yo) tipping the table over by putting all his weight on the very edge of the table (he's a climber ;-)). This is the first pedestal table I've owned, so I wasn't sure of the stability. It turns out not to be a problem, it takes quite an effort to make the table tip, even slightly.This set is comparable in quality to sets I've seen in R***store for almost $1000. I would definitely buy this set again if I had my time over. Highly recommended set, as is DiningRoomsDirect, a real pleasure to deal with.

Only downside is that some of the assembly pieces were in a plastic bag and stapled (with heavy, difficult-to-remove staples) to the inside of the table. These could just as easily have been packaged in a separate box that fits inside the larger box!
