Was exactly as described. Solid wood. Couple of hours to assemble. Good assembly hardware used. Not cheap stuff. Nice finish. Can't be beat for quality at this price. Should have used glass instead of pleaxi on the upper doors though. I replaced it with glass.

Certainly worth [$]! Beautiful cherry finish, ALL wood – NO cheap cardboard back panels! Easy to follow assembly instructions, all necessary hardware provided with a few spare pieces. A Phillips screwdriver is needed for assembly and a large flat screwdriver will be helpful. I also used an electric screwdriver for the back panel screws and drawers. Overall, I am very pleased with this item and the service.

The item was delivered via FedEx just 2 days after I purchased it online. Also couldn't beat the shipping price which was free:) The shipment came in 3 separate boxes and the items were packaged very well – no damage or scratches. The buffet was the heaviest at approx. 75 lbs, the hutch was about 50 lbs and the buffet top weighed only about 5 lbs.

Easy to assemble, a handsome piece of furniture. Matched well with my existing table. The price was great for something if it came from a furniture store would be twice the price.

A very functional piece of furniture in a small kitchen. I store tupperware in the base cabinet and cookbooks in the hutch. We can fit a small kitchen t.v. on the top surface of the buffet. It is a good quality product.

Looks good, but arrived damaged. There were some scratches and chips/chunks out of some of the pieces. Luckily the damage was in the back where you can't see it. Speedy delivery.

Everything was included with the buffet and hutch and the finish except for one scratch underneath was just beautiful. We are very please with this piece of furniture and it looks fantastic in our dining room. Thank You the Metcalfs

We bought 2 of these and are very happy with the purchase. My husband put them together mostly on his own with a little help from me at key points. The overall look is lovely and we have had many compliments on them and have sent other friends to the website to buy their own. The only problem is one of the drawer bottoms will not stay in place and the drawer bottoms are a flimsy material. The pegs for the shelf in the upper cabinet were too hard for me to get in but my husband was able to do it. I love the extra storage that it gives. We were able to put our toaster and coffee maker on the open area and free up some counter space in our kitchen. The bottom holds other appliances and the drawers hold our coffee filters and coffee very well. The second unit holds our cook books on the open portion for easy accessibility. I would definitely recommend these cabinets.

This was a great price[...] however, after 3 hours of assembly, we found the top bottom didn't match...at all. When we called customer service, we were told the only way to fix it was to return the entire the buffet hutch [...]IT DIDN'T MATCH! It was hideous! Oh, well, I guess I've learned my lesson.

delivery took time item came broken and needed to be glued

After looking for a Cherry Buffet with Hutch I was excited to find this one. Price was great and getting it to my home was a breeze. After unpacking the buffet to see if everything was in order, my husband realized we had 2 of the same pieces for the base. Well here we are with all of these pieces in the floor and I knew I couldn't wait another 5 days to get the correct part, my husband being the handy man that he is, had to drill the hole needed to make the part work. We ran into holes that were not lined up too good and had quite a few hardware items nails left over that we know we didn't need. This project took over 4 hours and then we had to finish the rest the next day which was another 30-45 minutes. We have put together plenty of items in our years together but this was by far not a user friendly project.
