So So but usable

• How you use the product? I use it as a computer desk and work table for my studies. • Things that are great about it? Once constructed it's sturdy and looks nice. It's somewhat small for having it in use both for the desktop computer and studying. • Things that aren't so great about it As already mentioned by others it was a challenge to assemble it. Instructions are clear and the materials needed to assemble the desk are packaged in an organized way. Nonetheless once I assembled the left and the right part of the desk, the top would not feet because the left side was a bit wider due to improper alignment of the already constructed in the factory part(the left panel was not glued and pressed properly and as a result the whole left side was a bit wider). I had to narrow the top of the left panel. Also and probably it's a minor I had to drill several holes when assembling the right side because factory holes were not aligned. The keyboard drawer was also little challenging to assemble again due to improper alignment of the preexisting holes. Also, remember to follow instructions when assembling the keyboard drawer. First attach the rails and the frame for the drawer to both right and the left side and only then put the keyboard drawer in place. Once the keyboard drawer is in place you will not be able to remove it. My desk measures 24" in width and 58" in length. Some parts are made from solid wood and some are from fiberboard. If the assembly would not have been such a challenge I would have given this desk 5 stars.

The desk arrived in a timely manor. It appeared to be packed extremely well for protection against damages. The outside of the right side of the desk under the top was crushed which indicates to me that it was already damaged prior to packing. So much for quality control! Fortunately I had two friends of mine in the furniture repair business assemble the desk and they were also able to repair the damage to save me the trouble of sending it back. It's not 100 but I can live with it. For the price it should have been perfect. So for that reason I gave it 4* instead of 5*. If you are looking to purchase a desk that resembles oak in finish as I was, this is not the desk for you. It resembles cherry, there is a lot of red in it.
good solid desk

The desk is exactly like it looks build wise. The only disappointment I found is that the stain on the wood has more of a reddish tone to it. It's still a great looking desk. The rails on the drawers don't exactly line up 100% but still open and close suitably. I read some of the comments regarding putting it together before we purchased the desk and was a little concerned. Trust me, there is nothing to be concerned about. It took me about an hour and a half, by myself, to put it together. The directions are very easy to read and follow. Again, very good desk but I wish the picture on the website was a little closer in color.
Not the quality for the price and not made in USA.

Parts missing Scratched Warped. Takes too long to put together should of had glue for some parts. Would not buy this if I had known.

This is a very sturdy and good looking desk once assembled. The dimensions advertised are 30HX58W X20D. Others advertise the dimensions 30HX58Wx28D Neither are correct as the true dimensions are 30HX58WX24D.[...]Also advertised as solid wood construction however the side panels of the pedestals are wood venier over particle board.During assemby I had to drill thru two holes that were not completly drilled all the way thru. I also had a problem with the hinges lining up on the center drawer and I had to use a wood chisel to fit the hinge leaf. The size was the biggest dissapointment especially after doing some carefull measuring. In the end it does look good and of high quality and if you are good with tools its worth considering. The price is right if you compare it to what else is out there in this price range and seller did do a price match.
Quality not existing, [...]

Arts and Crafts Pedestal Desk made by Home Styles Furniture- what a horrible experience, quality below imagination, nothing fits, measurements are as if done by uneducated employees, with no quality control.. where bolts should be are openings for screws, I never have seen something like it. [...] Let me add that I am not an immature in construction, o boy if we keep accept that quality [...]don't be surprise what comes our way. That desk with hutch is not even worth $200 and no one to talk about price adjustment for no quality, not low quality but lack of quality all together. When requested a contact with Home Styles Furniture I got from a supervisor of customer service [...] nr that is a fax nr [@]. Their customer service is there to patiently keep sending you new parts (what a waist!!! in material, labor that equals your money spend already for the item) and nothing else. I am wondering what will stop that madness and production of garbage.Do yourself a favor do not buy any of Home styles Furniture products- it is a waist of your money and time, I won't mention unnecessary aggravation.

Easy to assemble, well made

Easier to assemble than most Ikea furniture, well-made of all wood (no veneers or particle board composite). Great value for the money and is beautifully finished. Highly recommended.

It's a beautiful, sturdy piece for the price. Like others have said, the color is a little richer than what is in the photo, but it's really pretty. Assembly took some work, but nothing more than other desks we've purchased. We're very happy!
Difficult to assemble

It was difficult to put together. The top of the desk's holes did not line up to the base holes and I am unable to fasten the top to the base. I won't send it back because then I will have to take it apart and that will be a hassle. Other than what I mentioned, it's a nice looking desk.
