Very Sturdy. Beautiful finish, great storage. File Cabinet could be a bit larger, but serves it's purpose. Overall, I'm happy with this product.
dont plan on using the file drawer

The desk is pretty but we were really disappointed when we started to transfer our files to the file drawer and the drawer was too narrow to hold a letter size file. We purchased assembly service and it took him 5 hours to assemble the desk.

Decent quality, not super heavy duty furniture, but great value for the price. Comes with wall anchor. Perfect for my sons room.

Took a while to put together and missing a few bolts but we just strategically placed the ones we had. It seems very sturdy and has a nice look to it.The one in the picture seems very tall but it shorter in reality.
Great quality desk

Very happy with the desk. It's very heavy but you can tell its a tough desk.

Admittedly, I had someone else build this desk for me, and they needed a drill to clean out some holes that were not clean. Also one of the doors does not close flush, but the gap is small. Otherwise this would be a 5 star item.
Nice Desk, hutch!

A good looking piece of furniture. A little darker than shown on the website. Took some time to assemble but went together well. It had a broken board, but was able to glue it together with furniture glue. The hinges on the pullout keyboard drawer are loose, making it necessary to use velcro strips on the drawer front to keep it up when closed. All in all, a very nice unit.
deeply flawed product

If you can assemble this desk and hutch, you may end up with a nice piece of furniture. But you will need to be an expert handyman/woman to achieve this task. There were so many design flaws, with pre-drilled screw and dowel holes in the wrong places. In fact I had to drill a lot of new holes myself. One of the file drawer tracks was too short, it was the wrong one. It took me 14 arduous hours to piece this product together, and I am no novice when it comes to assembling furniture. [...]
Beautiful desk. some time to assemble
Sue, a shopper and mom from Morgantown, WV
One thing to note about this desk and other Homestyles Cottage Oak furniture is that the wood is quite a bit darker than appears online. For the price, this desk is great. Yes, it takes some time to do the assembly. I had already assembled the Cottage oak entertainment center by the time I got this, so I knew generally how these things get put together. Once you know how to do the cam locks, etc., it isn't that hard to do. The drawers can be difficult to do without a power drill however. The only issue I had was with the location of the pre-drilled holes for the drawer-front for the keyboard drawer. They work, but the drawer doesn't close properly. I need to re-drill it myself. But for the price, you end up with a nice desk that looks more expensive than it is. I've gotten the Cottage Oak end table, too and am happy with all the furniture.
Quality assurance or control absent

Arts and Crafts Pedestal Desk made by Home Styles Furniture- what a horrible experience, quality below imagination, nothing fits, measurements are as if done by uneducated employees, where bolts should be are openings for screws. As you preside you will find out new "surprises" (no other way to tell at the beginning when you start putting desk together what will go wrong next) [...] Let me add that I am not an immature in construction, o boy if we keep accept that quality and treatment don't be surprise what comes our way. That desk with hutch is not even worth $200 of your money and no one to talk about price adjustment for no quality, not low quality, but lack of quality all together. [...]
