Great value, decent quality, easy assembly, fast and free shipping, but a couple of negatives...
Melissa from Durham, NC
Mostly happy with the entire process of purchasing from Wayfair.com. The price was excellent (compared to other websites and similar looking sets), delivery was free and very fast (arrived within 2 days of ordering), and the entire dining set was easy to set up. My final decision to purchase this set online, sight unseen, was based on the appearance in the photo and the many positive reviews. I purchased the table with 6 chairs to have 2 extra...for some reason, one of the six chairs wobbles after all being put together the same way. The table fits 4 chairs around it comfortably, but 6 is a very tight squeeze. The finish is a very opaque black, not at all shiny as shown in the picture, which I would have liked better. I do wish this set was available in more finishes, and medium to dark brown finishes, such as Espresso, Chestnut, Walnut, etc. There is a small ding on the surface of the table top, which looks like it occurred during shipping. Black marker covers it okay, but of course, I wish it wasn't there as I worry about more of the finish chipping off. Overall: It is a very good quality, sturdy dining set, that I hope will last us many years. Pros: Great value, easy assembly, fast and free shipping Cons: Not enough color/finish options, damage during shipping, chair wobble (one out of six chairs)

Almost as expected from the picture. I love the white and the size. The chairs are very solid and very comfortable to sit. Well designed and worth the money i paid when they were on sale. However, I gave 1 star less because I've noted several small cracks when I opened the chairs. I should contact customer service but I am not one who has time to complain so I haven't. I hope these cracks don't open bigger. if this last me a couple years I am happy as is.
Happy! creamy white finish

Even though I had to wait the extra day for table top delivery, I will give 5 stars. The table is perfect for the space I purchased it for. Well packed..no damage. Easily assembled, no problems everything lined up perfectly. Everything was well labeled. I'm am very happy with purchase. Table and chairs very sturdy and solid. Would recommend to others needing this size table. Finish was perfect and even throughout the table and chairs. Like I said....VERY HAPPY!

I am new to Mayfair but saw this table and chairs and thought it would look great in my dining room. The compliments I have received have brought three new people to Mayfair. Its outstanding furniture at a competitive price.
Striking and Sturdy
David from Salt Lake City, UT
I was first attracted to this set by the price but when it arrived and I put it together, the quality and sturdiness were of paramount value. It is solid. Fasteners create a rigid, adjustable frame that will obviously last (because they can be tightened if they ever loosen with use). The black finish is striking and dramatic. This compact size for my 9-foot wide dining nook is ideal. With red placemats and ironstone dinnerware the effect is amazing.
Dinner for Four
David from Salt Lake City, UT – Verified Buyer
In a small dining area in an open plan modern apartment, I wanted a compact set suitable for four. This set is very substantial and the pedestal table allows for various configurations, including a great serving surface for buffet parties (with the chairs removed to provide browsing space allowing "grazing" room for finger foods.) The finish is so good I use place mats rather than a table cloth to show it off. Red ones against the matte black are electric!

We have limited space in our kitchen and used to have a 2 person table with barstools. We needed to update our kitchen table for our growing family but didn't want to spend too much (or too little on something cheap and flimsy). This fits perfectly and can seat 4 people comfortably. It looks more expensive than what we got it for, and it's sturdy, and stylish! Very happy with this purchase!
Wonderful look and value!

This set is a great addition to my house. The look is smooth and refined yet you can use it with several decor options. The set came I assembled, but my husband and I had no problem putting it all together. Assembly was not that difficult if you have the time to spend. I would guess that it took us around 1.65 hours. If you have a drill the assembly will be pretty quick. Although they provide Allen wrenches, this method would take forever!

The table is a little smaller than we expected, but it can fit 4 people - just not with a bunch of food in the center of the table. It is very sturdy and well built, and is real wood. We've had a two year old at it a couple times and no dings or dents. My husband did say it was kind of a pain to put together, but he just didn't follow the directions and also didn't use all the hardware that came with it. (it still took him by himself less than an hour to put together)
