This rug is the first purchase Ive made through Wayfair and Im thrilled with the whole experience. I originally saw the rug at a local big box store. I decided to compare prices online and was able to buy it at Wayfair on sale for over 100 less with free shipping. Even if it hadnt been on sale, Wayfairs price was still lower. I was worried about buying a rug online though, because its so hard to tell what it would look like once its in your home. The photo is an accurate depiction. The rugs color name is BeigeGray but in my home the gray looks like it has some subtle slate blue in it. That is probably because of my lighting but it is exactly what I wanted. Again, the photo represents this color very well. I called Wayfair to discuss this rug and the customer service rep was incredibly sweet and helpful. She put the rug on hold for me for a week to lock in the sale price while I decided if I wanted to order it. Once I decided yes, I received the rug in the promised number of delivery days (cant remember now how many days it was, but the website states that info - it wasnt long). I love the rug! It was obviously delivered all rolled up, and so took a few days to lay completely flat. We also had to turn it 180 degrees from the way we originally set it up because, as with all carpet fibers, depending on the cut of the fiber, one direction might reflect more light than the other. We wanted a more flat color look which we achieved by simple turning the carpet around. All of my guests over the holidays, commented on the subtle colors and beauty of this rug. 06/12/11Once in a while, you happen to see a thing, come across by accident--even for short while--and you just 'know' you want it, and, if the Fates are kind, you are able to get it. This doesn't occur often, but it did when I first saw the "Optimum Rug in Black", in the 7'10" round.I had known that I wanted a rug for my bedroom, but kept putting it off.Besides, friends, after you've looked at a couple of hundred rugs, they all kind of blur together, and soon--after its given you a royal migraine--nothing really looks good or bad.Actually, the Optimum rug I saw was featured in a column by itself at the side.I was immediately impressed by its dark design, patterned in random, all-over mauve flowers; although I had never considered having a round rug in my bedroom, this one captured my attention.I could not believe it when I saw its for-sale price was only [$]; surely--I thought--there must be some mistake. At [$] it would have been a bargain.I hesitate to purchase things on-line as all too often, the 'two-inch' illustration and the reality of the product fall far short of any expectations.But, after speaking ( several times ) with Wayfair's outstanding personnel, I decided to buy it. [...]This rug ( which is also sold in different sizes ) is absolutely beautiful.I intend to place it halfway under my bed, so that the rug can be seen at the sides and past the end of the bed. I feel I hardly need worry; at almost 8'round, the rug will still retain its commanding presence, and unobstructed beauty over the light wood laminate that is in the room, and, indeed, in every room in my newly remodeled home.I would heartily encourage every potential shopper to consider this, and other rugs from Wayfair.I have no regrets over this purchase...and, neither will you.
