Riga V Greenhouse and Base
Features:
Movable Plastic hangers

Adjustable Metal Hooks
These adjustable metal hooks are made specifically for Riga greenhouses. They are only available in sets of five. These hooks come in handy for hanging lights, fans or flower baskets in your greenhouse.
Shelves
The Riga V Greenhouse has a unique optional two layer shelving system with removable shelf inserts to allow taller plants to grow un obstructed. The shelving is suspended from the ceiling without braces underneath allowing for more storage space for gardening tools like a wheelbarrow or long tools inside the greenhouse. The shelves are made from a twin wall polycarbonate material, allowing for much better and more even light distribution through the greenhouse to help with plant growth. The shelves are made to go from one end of the greenhouse to the other. The depth of the top shelf is 14" while the depth of the bottom shelf is 25". Note: Two top shelves and two bottom shelves can fit in the greenhouse. If you would like to purchase an additional top shelf or two of the same bottom shelf these items can be purchased separately. Black planting trays designed to fit all RIGA greenhouse bottom shelves are also available separately.
4 Extra Roof Windows
When living in hot climates it is important during the summer months to have proper ventilation for the health of your plants. You are able to add up to 4 roof windows for your greenhouse, which are included with the greenhouse kit. These windows have automatic window openers but does not need ventilation. It comes with a special cylinder which expands and contracts due to temperature changes. It pushes the window open when it gets hot inside and closes the window when it cools down. You are able to adjust the temperature range. The roof windows are attached with a tongue and grove hinge system, which spans the full length of the top profile of the window. 4 roof windows included with this kit.

Nice, but not so easy to assemble Product Review Gable panels are a VERY tight fit, needs 2 people minimum to assemble. If sealed per instructions the roof vents will leak like sieves in the rain. Recommend caulking the plastic corners pieces before assembly, PLUS drilling small holes on the inside frames near the corners and shooting expanding foam inside, also caulking both vertical sides of every panel. The base is a must if no foundation, but be careful not to bow out the sides when covering with dirt - it's a pain to have to dig it out again to true up the sides. Finished mine with red concrete pavers on a sand base in and out - looks very elegant. Service Review The nuts, bolts etc are packed in flimsy plastic bags which will be shredded on arrival with the small parts scattered all over the inside of the containers (which themselves are quite sturdy). The containers are heavy and long, have some muscle on hand for delivery. Make sure you keep the longer bolts for the horizontal braces, and study the pictures, diagrams and profiles before assembly (unless your German is fluent). |

Great Greenhouse kit This is a great greenhouse kit. Written instructions could be better, more specific with construction hints. Video is better. Materials are very good and finished product is good looking and appears strong. I put mine on a concrete block wall 2 blocks high and love the extra height. |

great product, [...] Product Review Greenhouse kit is very well designed. Video of assembly makes all the difference. Watch once for general idea. Watch each piece again just before doing it. Service Review Been trying (unsuccessfully) to buy an additional Riga shelf from this retailer. I've talked with 5 different customer service reps, each promising to see it through to the end. None have! They don't have a SKU number for the part I want to buy, and have so far wasted nearly a month avoiding working with me. It's a $500 product and I'm just trying to buy one. These guys have great pricing, but no follow through. Big waste of everyone's time. |

The Best Greenhouse for the Money My wife wanted a greenhouse to start seeds AND grow vegatables all year long (if possible). After extensive research, we selected Riga V. It was the largest greenhouse we could afford to buy and we are very satisfied with the purchase. The greenhouse came with 4 roof windows and automatic openers, which work like magic. The 8 mm polycarbonate panels (10 mm for the ends) are a must for year round gardening. The onion shape had no problem with the 20+ mph wind we occasionally have here in Oakwood. The design I like most about the greenhouse is that the aluminum extrusions are continuous pieces even for the 17' long Riga V. This makes the greenhouse very sturdy. The mid-section of the greenhouse roof does not sack due to the bending reaction of the side polycarbonate panels, even with no internal trusses. The greenhouse mounted perfectly fine on my level concrete footing without the optional base kit. It came with 10 brackets (supposed to be 12) for me to screw onto the concrete footing. The assembly was slightly tricky and took three of us a full day to install the major pieces and finish up the rest the next day. We could have gotten it done in one day if we didn't have to go to [...]for missing M6 screws and brackets (both floor and window brackets). Riga V is apparently not a very popular model that the retailer sells. It got mixed up with the Riga IV part count. The only drawback is that the roof windows do not seal very well and they leak when it is raining. Overall, a very functional greenhouse that is going to last a long time. I consider it good looking also. |
