Cheap construction, uneven finishes

This might be nice for a kids rec room but not my living room. The "silver" posts are wood, spraypainted to look like metal. The paint was buckled on every single post, some of it flaking off to bare wood when we picked them up. Took my husband and I 3 hours to assemble because we had to start over several times. The reason is the holes and slots don't all align like they should. There is no uniformity in manufacture. So we'd disassemble a part and try another one. We had to get out the power tools and drill out some "pre drilled" holes. This is no IKEA. The laminate was not well cut and some edges didn't meet exactly (so you could see the underside of the laminate) or created overly lapped edges so that they are sharp and stick up. We strategized on which shelves we could hide, or turn so that the edge wouldn't be exposed. Also, the metal nuts are very prominent on the "posts" so be careful which way they face so they are not prominent. The shelves are just about useless because they are so shallow your hand would have to reach under the table and slide in, making it a requirement that you squat down next to the table to put anything there or remove something. This thing is inexpensive, so what did I expect? The TFG Foster Console table is a MUCH nicer product for the money. Too bad they don't have a coffee table of the same design. I will probably list this coffee table on Craigslist.
Elegant table, but assembly pieces could be better designed

This product deserves 4 stars at least. The design, the finish, the slight sheen are all classy. The only reason why I gave it 3-stars is that the grooves inside the small silver pipes, into which you have to screw in the top and bottom, are actually small metal parts glued to the inside of the pipes. What this does is that if you have to unscrew the top or bottom screw from the silver pipe, it also pulls out the metal part into which the screws fit. I expected the threads to be on the silver pipes themselves on the inside - instead they are in a separate, small metal cylinder glue to the inside top and bottom of those pipes. And if those small parts come off, it means you cannot lift the table since the screws aren't properly set into the pipes. That's exactly what has happened to me. Admittedly, I may not lift the table off often and, when I have to move it, I can still drag it sideways but I shouldn't have to do it. It sounds like a defect to me. Pros: Well finished, perfect height and size for a medium to large living room Cons: Hardware for critical parts seems to have defects if unscrewing is necessary
Nice looking, materials and construction a bit lacking

This coffee table is stylish and looks very good in the living room where it was purchased for. The issues I had with it are that the bars in between the shelves appear to be metal in the photo, however they are spray painted wood. They are also not cut very evenly and this causes the table to wobble because all of the pieces do not lock together evenly and flushly. I was able to solve this issue by loosening each bar a bit (so that the 2-way screws had more to bite into) and adding wood glue to each end. This shored it up considerably and it now feels much sturdier. As I said, it looks very good, but up close it's not as sturdy as I would have liked and the lack of the bars being metal was a disappointment. Hence the 3 star review. Not great, but a solid coffee table for sub $200.
Sharp looking table

I ordered this table for my son after he moved into a new condo. He did not have a lot of experience putting furniture together but was able to assemble this without a lot of trouble. He loves the table and it looks great in his new home. As always, free shipping is such a bonus with Wayfair. I hope it never ends!
moer then i expected

WOW...... i really wanted this table when I seen it online. Without even thinking i purchased the table and couldnt wait for it to come. When I got it i was looking at the box like i can handle this, no problem. after sitting there for about 30 mins because im surly not handle, i was embarrased to haveto call my brother to help me set it up. He came over the next day and he was done like in 20 mins. He always makes fun of me and anytime i say something is easy he can do it, he always starts off his sentence with yeah like you and the coffee table. All in all im happy with my super easy coffee table
tessa from Rapid City
wonderful contrasting table with multiple tiers that excite the eyes. thought it would be difficult to assemble because it looks like they float, but it's wasn't all that bad with help from another hand.
Nice design and easy assembling

Unique design, it will be assembled top side down, so make sure that there are no scratches on the side on the floor while assembling. Pros: Nice design and easy assembling, Cons: Sharp edges, not suitable for crawling babies. You need edge guards

Nice table for the price

This table is not wood which I guess I knew but was still a bit surprised by the "light" feel of the piece. I had my handyman put it together and it didn't take him more than 30 minutes. The table however does not stand straight -- which could also be from my hardwood floors. Overall I do like the clean lines and design and it fits in well with my new contemporary living room. The design allows you to put things on the bottom shelf that are not too noticeable to others which I like. Overall I am very happy with the table. This was my first Wayfair purchase and it was smooth.
