Great TV Stand
Elaine from Eaton Center, NH– Verified Buyer
I love this stand and have been surprised at some of the poor reviews. I am a 67-year old woman and put it together by myself, though a few steps would have been easier with another set of hands. I did read the instructions three times before starting and took my time. I have also previously put together Ikea furniture. I appreciated the hint from another reviewer that the fixed shelf (D) had a top side, so I looked for the tiny holes on the bottom to identify orientation. Once fully assembled, about two hours, I found it quite solid and level. The next day I decided to replace the legs with hooded casters, which required turning it upside down and then right side up.
Great piece!! Looks expensive!

I ordered this to hold our media systems. Cable box, sound system console, PS4, apple tv. The top shelf isn't strong enough for the weight of both the cable box and the sound system console, so we are going to slide some wood blocks between the shelves inside to give it some support. Don't want to have to open the doors to use the systems, so we don't want them inside the unit. Nothing is ever perfect, so we're not bothered by it. One of the sides came with some damage so Wayfair quickly sent out a replacement. No worries! I really love it, because it pulls the room together nicely, looks expensive in an elegant way. What we had was hideous compared to this pretty piece. Bought it in mahogany. It's not too dark, it's perfect. I think the cherry would have been to light for the room. Thumbs up Wayfair!
Nice TV stand

This is a nice unit. Did not take too long to put together. I did have 2 pieces that needed be replaced because 1 piece was not manufactured correctly and other piece had a small mark on it that you could see they tried to repair. I called to get replacements and they showed up in 2 days and they were perfect. I don't actually use it for TV, I use it for components, as my TV is on the wall but it plenty sturdy to use with TV. You could easily place a larger one then they show. The unit is very good looking and is exactly what I expected and the great value for the price. The one door is slightly misaligned, but you can't tell unless you get up close, no big deal at all. I would recommend this. Happy with my purchase.
Turned out nice
Richard from Norfolk, VA
The unit arrived on time and packed very well. When I was assembling it, there were 2 problems. One side piece had a very small area that had been slightly damaged and you could see where they tried to repair it, it was not a big deal so I was just going to live with it. Then I found other side piece was manufactured wrong so I could not finish assembling the stand. I called the next day and they shipped me 2 new side pieces. The customer service was excellent and they arrived within a couple of days perfectly packed. I completed assembling the stand and it looks great. Everything lined up nicely. My wife and I are very pleased with the stand and fits perfectly in the space we have for it. I do recommend this piece, it is a good value for the money.
Nice DIY TV stand

I bought this TV stand because it fit into a small nook (47") but is still big enough for a 42" TV. It went together easily, although a corner brace in the front broken. The packaging was undamaged so the break had to of happened at the factory. The break was easy to fix with glue and a hidden screw, but I don't think it would have affected the strength anyway. The black unit is very attractive and sturdy.
Good looking cabinet and very sturdy for the price
Karen from Pioneer, CA
The Cambridge 42" TV Stand is very sturdy for the price. The packaging could have been better as a corner at the top of the cabinet was dented and I had to repair an inside corner at the bottom as the pre-installed wood piece had broken off but was in the box. Took me about 3 hours altogether to put together (including the repair which required me to stop and start again the next day to allow the glue to cure). I would have given 5 stars, if I hadn't had to repair the dent and the wood piece.
Nice piece -- look out for that shelf

This is a very nice piece of furniture -- sturdy and nicely detailed. The finish does scratch easily, so look out. The biggest problem (not a deal-breaker) was that the instructions do not clearly indicate that the shelf has a right way up (and a wrong way, which of course was the way we built it initially). Since the holes for mounting the door hinges and magnets are only on one side of the shelf, it really matters which direction you install it! There are TINY little arrows showing this in the pictorial instructions that we missed completely during assembly (there are no text instructions addressing this issue). This meant that we had to un-do about half of the assembly once we realized we wouldnt be able to mount the doors. There was much cursing and gnashing of teeth at that point. However, it was cureable, and we love the finished piece. I left off the turned wood feet and instead put the whole thing on standard casters, which perfectly fit the built-in threads for the feet screws. We love being able to move it from room to room and no matter where we put it, it looks lovely. Note to manufacturer please put a this side up sticker on the shelf! All of the other pieces are clearly marked with stickers, making the rest of the assembly very straight-forward.
Nice for the price

I needed a small TV stand, and this looked like a good choice. During assembly, some of the cam nuts and bolts needed adjustment in able for them to lock properly (had to back them out a few turns), and had a minor break in one corner due to crooked pre-assembly from the factory, but did not affect the product once it was finally assembled.

We couldn't be happier with this TV stand. It looks beautiful in our living room and it's the perfect size. It's a very nice quality wood with the exception of the backing which is a particle board type material; that doesn't bother us since it's not visible. We ordered the mahogany stain--it looks like we paid more than what we did! This is our first purchase with Wayfair and we will be repeat customers!
Looks like picture--even smells like new!

Thjis cabinet was perfect for me==not too large or too small and the perfect height for my new 42 inche Lg Smart TV. I highly recommend this piece. I**if you are not good at assembling things then hire National Assembly to assemble it for you. The man who came to my home within three days of delivery, assembled the piece professionally in thirty minutes. (The reviews mention that the average person would take 2.5 hours! )He made sure all the pieces were there and all the screws were drilled in properly. It was worth the cost to me as the cabinet looks beautiful and I did not have to sweat hours over all the pieces and making sure that I did not inadvertantly damage something in the process. So far so good, I LOVE the cabinet!
