My wife and I looked all over for 6 bar stools. I wanted them with backs & arms. She did not care. After ordering some with back + arm for $210 per chair x 6, and finding they were discontinued and we'd have to change colors and we'd have to wait 4-6 weeks to get them, we decided to try these instead. I AM SO GLAD WE DID!! WE WILL BUY FROM Wayfair / Wayfair AGAIN!! [...] I came home today (Wednessday) to find 6 heavy boxes in my garage. I figured, yah, right, 27 lbs, that's shipping weight. No kidding folks, these are some heavy well built stools!! As for the color, the metal is more like a dark bronze and the cushion is a lot darker than it looked in the photo online. The cushions are a dark brown with gold highlights. They match our tile, bar, and stain colors perfectly!! To be honest, we put one togheter in about 15 minutes, and then talked about how nicely our basement is comming together for about 45 more minutes. We couldn't have planned the color scheme better. As for comfort, the cushion is a little firm, but let me explain that. You don't feel any "wood", "metal", or anything "hard". What you do feel is like you're sittin on a cusion of air + foam. The material kind of fills with air, that surrounds your butt as you sit on them, so you feel comfort, but nothing "hard". I'm sure they will break in after some time, but we feel we can sit on these for hours and they probably wouldn't change "feel" at all. Slightly firm, but very comfortable, and nothing "hard" about them!! As for build quality, I was extremely surprised. The allen bolts are a pain, but 15 minutes per stool is not that bad. The design / way the metal is shaped is really top notch. Most chairs are designed so the screws take the weight / load. Not these!! In this case, the metal is shaped such that the weight sits on the metal and the screws just hold the pieces together. That's really important for long term stability / durrability. I know I sound like sales person here, but seriously, we are very happy with our purchase. I can't see anyone being unhappy with these, especially if you get them at the price we did - [$]. After looking for over 8 months, I can honestly say, I've never seen anything out there that compares for build quality or cost!! We will be shopping Wayfair & Hillsdale again!! "..."  Read more

to the The Wayfair Sales Squad: I was a little hesitant when I received the boxes because of the type of cardboard used to pack the barstools, but when I opened them up, I was pleasantly surprised! The metal is heavy 1/2" bar stock & rod, the screws are large & sturdy with locknuts to keep anything from wiggling loose and placed in the best strategic points to keep this together for a long time. The welds are not very neat, but they cover all the connection points well. The entire barstool is quite heavy & won't easily tip over. Love the swivel & it moves up & down very easily! I love the stools, the seat cover is gorgeous and the swivel works great and my young teenage son easily put the together. [...] The only thing.... the stools are GIANT in diameter. I used to have four stools at my counter so I bought four of these and only three can fit comfortable. I am keeping the fourth to pull up on the other side of the counter as needed, but I really only should have purchased three stools to fit my space.
