(if you are using another table than the one in the set.) The seat is big and will not fit between the legs on the ends of our table. Our table is 10 ft. long and 3 chairs fit on a side. I purchased the arm chairs first to be sure they were suitable, the arms a just a tad low on them, but how long does one really lounge around on the dining room furniture. For the money this entire set was a terrific buy. My only regret is they have discontinued the matching swivel barstools.
