Absolutely love the look and feel of these bar stools! The actual seat was bigger than I had expected. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the assembly process. I was able to complete one chair in about 15 minutes but the second chair was such a pain when trying to make the screw line up with the holes on the foot rest section. To my realization it isn’t a perfect square and one side was a bit shorter than the other side so it took me about an hour just to put the second stool together. The instructions say to screw in the screws about 80 of the way before standing the entire chair to then screw them on 100. For the foot rest section I would recommend maybe 50, if that and then incrementally screw each one in on rotation until you get to 100. Don’t know if the second stool was defective which is why it took longer to assemble but if you can make it pass the assembly, I would recommend them.. Maecel. Chula Vista, CA. 2022-02-11 22:09:26

The chairs are solid and fit well in our kitchen. They were purchased for an island that does not have an overhang. We wanted a swivel chair as there is a step down adjoining room with a TV and gathering spot. It was important to have the flexibility of shifting positions without dragging the chair as there is constant flow in the kitchen. While cooking or preparing a meal a few people can hang out and enjoy the overlook and chat in a different spot. They fit well along the wall when not in use. We decided on the wood as the island top is wood. A concern in the purchase decision was the foot rest being chipped or easy to mar by shoes. The wood seems very solid so the concern is minimal now that we have the stools. The cushion is comfortable and the light color is exactly what the images portrayed. They are not too bulky. There were no issues putting them together as my husband surprised me after a weekend away with the new chairs. He did mention the first chair had taken longer to put together. The directions could have been better. I had taken a long time deciding on different stools and what would fit in our area. The two new additions appear to be the answer to our missing puzzle. These chairs are very nice looking. They were packaged well as not to chip the black coating on the legs. However, they did chip very easily upon assembly. The chips are easy to hide so it is not a big deal, just be extra careful. The three stars come from wobble that we are getting with two of the stools and no way to adjust. The width and depth of the seats are “comfortable enough”. I did not have any issue with seeing the black fabric up the back like other reviews have said.
