1. The first misleading part about this daybed is the picture. The back panel actually only HALF a panel (what you see in the picture) below that is just a huge gap.

I absolutely Love my new DayBed! I opted for the White Faux Leather and it looks beautiful in our spar room. The bed including trundle (which is optional) arrived in 3 boxes, all in good order and all pieces including hardware in tact. I am 61 yrs old, and I was able to put it together on my own, although a second set of hands would have made it go a bit quicker. I do recommend a twin XL mattress to avoid gaps, and a thicker mattress, 7" or more. I am opting for an 8". Overall, this daybed is sturdy, beautiful and very fairly priced! The trundle rolls out easily and is great for either a second sleeping area, or for storage if you prefer! Five++ Stars here!
I love this Montgomery Daybed with trundle in brown, just what I needed

I ordered the daybed in brown with the trundle and it was an awesome price on sale through Wayfair. It shipped ultra super quick and was in three boxes. Assembly isn't really very difficult. You just have to put in four bolts per side to connect the sides with the front and back bottom pieces and then do the same for the back (two bolts per side). Then there are sets of slats that are connected together with fabric and you just lay them down on the supports, screw them in and you're done. One person could do this, but it's easier with one person holding up the side when you're screwing in the bolts. It looks really good in the living room. The back does have a gap like some reviewers have pointed out, but it's made that way to give you room out the back for making the bed up, which makes it really convenient, so that's a plus in my opinion. I measured the inside dimensions from one arm to the other and it's perfect for an 80" twin XL mattress. I currently have a regular-sized mattress in there and there is room at the end (about 5"), so you could fill the space with a piece of foam or something if you don't want to buy a new, longer mattress. This daybed is a great value for the money and is a sturdy, substantial and stylish addition to any décor.

We got the brown daybed. It is quite dark as the photo shows but has a nice, rich color and goes perfectly in our guest room. Obviously comments on how comfortable it sleeps depend on what mattress you put on it. We have a standard twin mattress which works fine but does leave a couple of inches gap on each end (not a problem). Other comments have mentioned that the back does not come down to the mattress base. In fact there is an 11" gap from the mattress base to the bottom of the upholstered back. The photos show this covered with a very thick mattress or a box spring and mattress. We covered it with pillows and are very happy with the looks and quality for the price.
Just what we needed!

This works perfectly in our guest room. Our grand kids will get lots of use out of it as will other out of town guests. My only negative comment wound be that some of the allen screws were hard to connect. Some of the joints were very tight and required a bit of miscle. The other advice I would give is to go for standard twin mattresses on this piece. We tried the XL twin and had to send it back. Also, the trundle really works better with a slimmer, less fluffy mattress.

Well after several futons i decided to go ahead and upgrade to a daybed with actual mattress. I am a grandmother and also run a 24 hour childcare so comforable sleeping accomodations was my main goal along with a stylish look since it would be in the family room. I LOVE IT!!! Rave reviews from parents, family & guests. I purchased two mattresses, the one on the bottom is kinda tight....i just lift the daybed to roll it out easily.
I'm still undecided....

I have never purchased furniture online preferring to see it in person. However, after reading some of the many reviews on this daybed, and asking for the advice of my interior designer friend, , I decided to take a chance. I guess I missed the reviews about the big gap in the back and how large the opening for the mattress is. Did I also miss the review that stated that a regular mattress is too thick and can't fit in the trundle??? Apparently I did. :-(. Needless to say, I am disappointed with my purchase but I am going to keep it and try to work with it. With a pillow top regular twin mattress, there is a 6"+ gap at the end. I will have to look into an XL Twin. That is extra money I didn't want to spend. There's is also a very noticeable gap along the back between the mattress and the bottom of the back rest. Lastly, a regular twin mattress (no pillow top) is way too thick for the trundle so you cannot close it. So, since I have decided to keep it, I have to decide if I am going to buy a new XL pillow top for the top and a thin 7" mattress for the trundle. I also think it looks very cheap. The faux leather is very cheap looking. However I love the design. The color seems to have a hint of grayish/bluish color. Like they say, you get what you pay for, so I shouldn't be surprised, but I am very disappointed in this purchase. I would not purchase it again.
Great quality for the price, if its on sales

Great quality and the color is true to the picture. I am absolutely happy about my purchase, but I am glad that I didn't have to spend more than 400 dollars on this product. I read the QA about the back part and was not quite sure what they mean by it's not fully covered. Now I see it means the back panel is only 13.5 inches wide in the center, and you need a 12-inch mattress to completely hide the opening. There is no support in the middle which makes me worry that it might break easily. I like how the opening makes making bed easy though.

This is a really great bed for the price. It's just a bit bigger than we expected, with a bit of a gap between the twin pillow top mattress (ordered separately) and one end. We ordered the dark brown without the trundle and it's perfect for my son's room. Assembly was a bit of a challenge, but he's very happy with it.
