Hillsdale Dorchester Daybed
Not bad for the price
Kristin from Falls Church, VA– Verified Buyer
Obviously at this price you're not going to get something spectacular, but the quality of the mattress is perfectly adequate for a kid's room or guest room. The mattress is quite bouncy and I'm sure kids would love to jump on it. You can feel the springs a little through the mattress but it's not too bad. I bought a cheap egg crate mattress topper to go over it and it makes a world of difference.

Mrs. Rita Lowrance

The mattress replaced a mattress which could not be turned as it was only on one side. This model could be rotated, flipped over, etc. to keep it from getting worn out so soon. This mattress is a pretty good model for an inexpensive model.

Nice and bouncy
Brittany from Laramie, WY– Verified Buyer
I bought this for my son thinking it was an actual mattress but upon arrival we found out it's not an actual bed mattress-it's for a futon. It's fine because my son is only 2 but it would not be ok for adults.

Think about mattress thickness
Still happy from Montana– Verified Buyer
This is a very fine daybed but I did have one problem... I didn't consider mattress thickness when I bought the mattress in town while waiting for the daybed frame to arrive. The mattress I bought is very thick and plush with a padded top. The mattress in the picture that describes the product must be, at the most, four or five inches thick. The one I bought is, I don't know, about twelve inches (or more) thick. So, when I set it in the frame... the arms and back of the bed frame mostly disappear. Kind of a problem when the whole purpose is for the bed to act as more of a couch during the day and only as a bed if I have a guest. At this point, I might as well just have a small iron bed frame under the bed as I don't really see much of the wooden frame. A simple solution is to just make sure you buy a suitable mattress in the first place. It is a very nice looking daybed otherwise, and quite solid and easy to assemble.
Attractive, as pictured.
Joni from Lindstrom, MN– Verified Buyer
Pretty, easy to assemble. Not wonderful quality, but appropriate for the price. I put a 10" twin mattress on it and that is about as thick as I could go without losing sight of the wood. Did arrive with both side panels splintered, and initially there was issues with getting the replacements in a reasonable time, but Wayfair worked with me to my satisfaction.
Attractive and Sturdy
Rhonda from Morganton, NC– Verified Buyer
A very attractive, very sturdy daybed. I really like this bed. The color is listed as "Cherry" when ordering but when it comes, it says "Brown Cherry" on the Box. The color is very nice but not a true cherry. If buying a mattress for this bed, it could be 4.5-6.5 inches deep. Thicker mattress will not look good as it hides too much of the beautiful wood.
Great value for the money
Kimberly from Fishers, IN– Verified Buyer
I bought two of these mattresses for my spare bedroom for a day bed with trundle. Works great. I slept on it a few nights when I had company and it was very comfortable. You feel the springs so I recommend getting a topper to help. Would purchase again.

You get what you pay for!
chelsea from victoria, BC– Verified Buyer
I gave this 3 stars because, really it is a $98 mattress and it is not the worst thing I have ever seen. It is for a trundle bed and will hardly be used so I guess it will be ok for the 5 times a year it does get slept on. I wasn't really expecting any different. Springy!

Okay for kids
Nicole from Hamilton, NJ– Verified Buyer
For a spring mattress, it is remarkably un-springy even after waiting the advised 48 days after unfolding. Adults might find it too unsupportive to sleep on, even with padding. I personally don't mind it. It's very squishy. Absolutely fine for kids, though, with the added bonus that it is completely unsuitable for jumping on.
