Hillsdale Brookland Bed - 1328-XXX

Looks great, extremely sturdy. Amazing value for the money. Make sure you get a low profile box-spring. Assembly is pretty quick.

meets or exceeds every expectation. considering purchase of a king size. built a heavy duty platform box to use instead of box spring.

Very strong piece...easy to put together with some help

This bed is exactly what we expected. The pieces were not that heavy to move into the room, but they are very sturdy when assembled. I took the advice of another poster and am using a low-profile box spring. I think it would have been too high to get in and out of easily with a regular box spring, not to mention that it would definitely show from the sides. The headboard is very comfortable to lean against to watch TV or read. We are very happy with this bed.

you know how you buy something off the net and it's not quite right...well this bed is spot on. it's definitely a two person assembly job. get the thinner box spring but a nice thick mattress or you'll have a gap between the top mattress and where the headboard begins.

This bed is great. I was nervous to shop on-line for a bed, but after reading other buyers reviews I gave it a shot. Thanks to the lady who reviewed this bed and mentioned the low profile mattress. That's what we did and it worked out perfectly. The bed is great, easy to assemble (2 people), and looks really nice!

Well made, nice looking bed. This thing looks great in my Master bedroom. It took me about 45 minutes to fully put together by myself (very easy assembly). I was worried about buying an item like this online but this bed did not disappoint.

I bought this bed almost a year ago and am very happy with it. It looks very nice and is very sturdy. My biggest issue was figuring out what type of box spring to get, since I was buying the mattress before the bed arrived trying to time the delivery of both to be around the same time. I could not tell if I needed a regular or low-profile box spring. I spoke [@]2 customer service reps from Hillsdale. In the end I got [...] different answers: regular box spring, low-profile box spring and that it does not need a box spring. Well I could tell that it definitely needed a box spring since it is not a platform bed and slats are spaced too far apart. Finally a very helpful Hillsdale rep pulled up the assembly instructions to try to determine how deep the space for the box spring is. She emailed me an electronic copy. After looking at those in detail, we were able to determine that for a mattress that is 14" high if you don't want the box spring to show past the side panel you definitely need a low profile box spring. The regular will stick out by at least 3-4 inches. Hope this will help someone trying to figure this out like I was.To [@]: It would be really helpful to have more details on the products you carry since buying furniture online is such a risky move. Detailed dimensions are a must! Also being able to order samples of the finishes would be great.
