I got this backpack primarily for day hiking and for travel -- the carry-on that fits under the seat. I checked out a lot of backpacks before picking this one, and it was a good choice. I just made my first coast-to-coast flight with my roll-aboard in the overhead bin and the Yavapai under the seat and it worked like a charm. In the backpack I had a jacket, two hardcover books, cell phone, cell phone charger, a couple of power bars, keys, eye drops, sunglasses in a hard case, a protein shake mixer and 6 packets of MetRx. It all fit without a stretch although it was good to have the compression straps. It was comfortable to wear. The only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars is the lack of a compartment on the bottom of the backpack, but if it had that, it might not fit under the seat."..." Read more
