Attractive and Functional

We bought two regular sized adult chairs in gray (Coastal Teak) and are happy with the purchase so far, it will take a season of sitting outside to see how they stand up over the long term. They seem to be a decent alternative to real wood but if you are a stickler for such a thing be advised there are a couple of places where a paint is used to finish off an edge (the outward facing edge of the armrest for example) and the paint used is not an exact color match to the chair material. It is not a deal breaker for us but it is a direct tip off that they are not real wood and it was a little annoying that it wasn't obvious from looking at the pictures online (including Highwood's own website). They are easy enough to drag but pretty heavy to lift and carry around. There is a bit of give or flex when pushing down on the armrests to get up but I am guessing that is normal, just not something we have experienced with real wood versions in the past. We will tighten bolts after a couple of weeks to see if that changes. The assembly instructions are outstanding and that really means something if you have ever assembled anything from Ikea.

We purchased two chairs from Highwood Adirondack chairs. They are a GREAT quality but the colors is WAY off. We purchased what we thought would be a light green and it is light gray.
Highwood adirondack chair

Purchased our first adirondack chairs after reading many reviews on these. We are so pleased with the purchase. We got four of them and the first was hardest to put together. Once we figured out how to do it, the others went together rather quickly. We wanted some that would not require yearly maintenance and these look like they will be perfect. They actually look like wood. They have held up well already in a snow storm and hail storm and lots of rain.

Love these chairs. I shopped around and was nervous about ordering them without being able to sit in them first. Lots of other chairs I tried left me disappointed as far as comfort was concerned. I took a chance based on other reviews and I am very pleased. The only thing I would change is make the backs a little taller. I am 5' 8" and they are a little too short to rest my head. We bought two in weathered acorn
Very comfortable chairs

We purchased four of these chairs in chestnut to place around a circular fire table on our patio, and have been very pleased with the purchase! They are very well made and quite comfortable (especially after adding an outdoor throw pillow), and we like the fact that the backs of the chairs are adjustable. We are contemplating ordering additional chairs for other spots in our backyard, but we may mix it up and order a couple in the blue color.

I cannot believe how well this chair is made as well as the fact that it reclines! It was easy to put to together with only a few parts and I am a 65 year old lady. Only issue I had was with the screws that go hold the chair back to the base. It was very hard for me to screw them. I needed a stronger person. Love Love Love this chair. And to think I will never have to paint it and all I need to do is hose it down when it gets dirty,
Well made but look nothing like real wood

Overall I am pleased with these chairs, however the wood look leaves a bit to be desired considering the price. It looks like you simply pressed some wood grain into the plastic, unlike some other composite wood products which have the added effect of varying wood colors and tones. They are MADE IN USA which was a main reason I decided to keep them. I felt paying for American labor was worth the additional expense.
Great Outdoor Chairs

These chairs are great! We had some wooden Adirondack chairs previously that didn't hold up to the weather, so I was looking for something that wouldn't have the same problem. These chairs fit the bill perfectly. They're very comfortable and were fairly easy to put together. You'll definitely want to have 2 people for assembly because it definitely requires a second set of hands. Very pleased!
Very nice chairs

Very happy with how easy these chairs ( I bought 4 ) were to assemble. The quality seems very good so far. The only negative.....I wish that I had bought the larger size so that the back of the chair would be taller and offer better support for my head.
Looks alot like real wood

Bought two of these to go around my firepit at my mountain home. I like real wood and was afraid these would appear plasticky, but I took a chance because I needed durability. Glad I did because these chairs look like real wood and are very solid and durable. They are also comfortable because of the way they are angled. We have enjoyed them.
