High Sierra Titan 55 Frame Backpack

Bought this for my 11, going on 12, son who is in boy scouts. Went on a weekend trip that had us sleeping in a scout camp dining hall and then 24 hours in a cave in western VA. Pack survived dragging through mud, water, and across rocks to get to our base camp. Pack cleaned up nicely with garden hose (no soap either). He said it was comfortable to carry, so we will see after our first weekend hiking/camping trip, but expect it to be fine.

I am getting into survival hiking and camping. I ordered this backpack as my first pack. I LOVE IT. Just did a 1 1/2 day 20 mile hike in the Acton, California area. I held my sleeping bag, tent, chair, tons of clothing 3 days of food and water rations emergency kits, gun, knives, ammo, radio, fire starting kit, headlamp and flashlights and a lot more I don't have room to mention. The pack weighed about 50 pounds once I had filled it. It held up really good. No broken straps and or visible wear and tear. Granted this was only one trip but it was and extremely grueling and physically demanding hike on me and the equipment. We fluctuated 3000 feet up and down mountains and the pack was comfortable. Bottom line I recommend this pack.

This pack was exactly what I needed for field work. Looks to be sturdily constructed and able to take some abuse. The way the straps adjust took some getting used to but I am quitw happy with this purchase.
