The raised edge makes a great pillow for when they want to elevate their heads. My older lab has severe arthritis, and this bed keeps her comfy and allows her to rest peacefully whenever she's in it. Jules from Atlanta, GA	4.0 4/5/2010 Nice Dog Bed This bed is a nice dog bed. My boxer/lab mix puppy loves to sleep on the couch and I bought this in hopes that she would begin to use it. So far okay....she uses it sometimes and sometimes not. It is attractive as dog beds go and matches my home decor. The only negative is that it is not as big as I thought it would be. My dog is probably going to be 80-90 lbs. I bought the 40" bed thinking that would be big enough for when she is fully grown. After getting it, I am probably going to have to buy another bed once she gets older (she is only 4 months old now). Was this helpful? Yes / No

My only wish is that the bed had a little more stuffing in the back bolster. My dog likes to lay his head there and it has started to flatten out.
