This is a beautiful bird feeder but I have seen them in other yards and they were much bigger. So, when this one arrived, I was surprised to see how small it is. I have had it for five months now and the only things interested in it are the squirrels. They just reach inside and help themselves to the bird seed that has sunflower seeds mixed in. It really is too small for the average bird to get inside, and even the small birds are not interested in it. I still like the looks of it, but I would not buy this again as a bird feeder.. Martine. It’s like a disco ball hanging in my patio! It’s a beautiful, eclectic addition to my garden and sure to keep the birds well fed. However, I knocked a couple stars off because mine arrived damaged. As you can see in the photo, the construction of the feeder isn’t complete in a rather large area. If the feeder holds up long term, then I’ll update my review. Otherwise, I love it!. Rebecca. The Hanging Hopper Bird Feeder took about two weeks to arrive but I was notified in advance of the delay. It was packaged well with an outer layer of waterproof wrap. This is a very pretty bird feeder and worth the price. Although there were no instructions included, you can easily open the feeder by gently unscrewing the metal loop on the top. Please know that half of the bird feeder is wire and the other half is plastic (not glass). This allows for different types of bird seed. The true test is yet to come -- is it squirrel proof..
