Frank Gehry (1930 - )Born in 1930, he studied architecture at the University of Southern California and studied City Planning at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard. He developed projects of private and public city planning in America, Japan. In Europe, he has recently been awarded the Pritsker Architecture Prize in 1989 and the Wolf Prize in Art in 1992. His projects have been published all over the world. The most important retrospective, "The Architecture of Frank O. Gehry" has been organized by the Walker Art Center in 1986 and has travelled the major American museums.
Today, inspired by the colors of that sculpture, Heller is producing the Gehry Color Cubes. Based on the original silver cubes of our Frank Gehry Furniture Collection, the new colors brilliantly enhance the cubes' extraordinary sculptural facets. Constructed of rotation-molded-polymer, this Color Cube by designer Frank Gehry will make a terrific addition for any indoor/outdoor commercial, institutional, and residential setting. With a sleek surface and flowing lines, Frank Gehry has created the most innovative furniture. A fantastic fusion of beauty and function, this versatile unit is conducive for indoor or outdoor use.

Fun! These cubes are a nice multi-function piece, especially great for a pop of color. They look soft but they are sturdy and easy to use as seating or a side table. They've held up well outdoors. |

Faded!,,, If you intend to use these outdoors beware they fade. Wish I had never purchased. Don't be fooled by the UV protected label. |

Perfect Condition-love Gehry furniture My home is FOR SALE and I'm using the Cubes as interior staging materials. Great GREEN color, just as in the photo. When I made my purchase, I did not read the conditions of Clearance Center. Just thought overstock or the like. I was a bit concerned since it would be months before unwrapping the Cubes. Visited our home last week and was delighted to find the cubes in perfect condition. They look great in the family room staged with more green and yellow furnishings and set with fun purple martini glasses from a friend. In the future, I'll use the Cubes on the deck of our new home in CLIFFS VALLEY, SC. |

Great for Patios I bought a gray and a red twist cube for use as seating / side tables on my patio. Very comfortable to sit on. Works fine as a small table for a plate or larger item but small items like wine glasses will slide due to the slightly concave top. |

Simple, modern, versatile, comfortable I purchased one of these as a return. We liked it so well we purchased 2 more. We use these for added seating for games and such in our conversation pit in front of our fireplace, but they would be equally at home in the living room or out on the patio. Looking at the shape you may wonder about comfort, but the plastic has just the right balance between stiffness and flexibility to make these easy to sit on for hours. In contrasat to most round poufs that seem to be getting popular today, these provide a stable seat for someone larger such as muself without looking really rigid ,static, and strictly square as a traditional "cube". |

Love 'em I bought six cubes to use a coffee/end tables. I love that they scoot around on wood floors. They are comfortable to sit on, set things on, or use as a foot stool. One thing to be aware of is that the tops are not perfectly flat. That is part of what makes them comfortable to sit on. I have found them to be flat enough to hold a plate or glass without mishap. |

Great color. Great design How often can you buy something that is super practical, works indoor or outdoors, sit on it or use it as a small table, choose from a variety of luscious colors, and find that the piece is designed by the best architect at work today and then see that it's 250 dollars. Sheer genius! I first saw these at the architects own offices and fell in love with them. When I found out the were commercially available and so reasonable I bought a bunch in different colors. They now enliven my patio in a joyful way. |
