I bought this because we needed some extra storage room in our dining room and for some overflow from the kitchen....and still I was suprised at just how much it will hold. Deep shelves inside and very sturdy. Very attractive and has a very appealing look on the outside as well. Not very distressed, mostly plain black but that was good because my dining set matches it! It fits beautifully with my other living room furniture and looks great! At 40"x20"x64" it hides a lot of stuff. The inside shelves seem to nick pretty easily -- may be made of a softer wood.
