I bought this product, because I wanted an elegant, black tufted headboard. When I saw this skyline headboard it seemed to be what I was looking for... unfortunately looks are deceiving. When the headboard arrived I expected a nice true black headboard and a silk-like material. This headboard is not true black. It is much more faded than I expected. (I had seen pictures of the headboard elsewhere and it looked true black.) Also when something is advertised as silk-like I expect a silk-like material (that was probably the most disappointing factor). Let's call it like it is, it's cotton with the slightest, tiniest bit of sheen to it. Not worthy of comparison to silk. However, after I got over the shock and disappointment, this is a beautiful headboard. It's elegant and expensive-looking and is nicely padded, (which is good if you like to read or watch t.v. sitting up against the headboard, it's comfortable.) Everyone who sees it thinks it's nice. The only other problem is that no matter how tight the bolts are it still wiggles a bit, and despite the fact that I have a very tall bed, the headboard is still a bit too tall for my bed, which I'll get fixed because I am not giving this headboard up. I purchased the nailhead border headboard in buckwheat and I am very happy with my purchase. I was worried that it would be too short because I have a pillowtop mattress that is extremely high(2'7"), but it is exactly the right height for my mattress. The fabric is more microfiber and less velvet, but it is still very nice. I think the fabric color looks like the color of linen. It is a really nice neutral beige. If you are looking for a creme color this will be too dark for you since it is on the darker side of beige. The headboard is nicely constructed and the nailheads are single nailheads, not a strip. My nailheads are all the same size and perfectly straight except for one that is slightly out of line. I put it together and attached it to my bed in about 25 minutes with the help of my 15 year old daughter. I ordered a duvet set the same day I ordered the headboard and the headboard arrived a day before the duvet! I wasn't notified that the headboard would be arriving and it was sitting on my front porch when I got home from work. I got an email letting me know the headboard had been shipped after it had already arrived at my house, so be aware that it could just show up at any time. You will need two people to carry it since it is large. The headboard does have a strong odor when it arrives, but it does get better with time although it has not gone away completely and it has been a couple of weeks now. This is nice quality for the price and I would buy it again since it fit my budget, but if I had some extra money I would have purchased one of the more expensive, thicker, better quality headboards."..."  Read more

I looked extensively for an upholstered headboard in a color that would compliment my bedroom (smoke blue with gray and silver accents) and be within my price range, so I was very pleased when I came across this headboard. This headboard did take awhile to get to me. Before I placed my order I called to make see when I could expect delivery and was told 13 - 16 days. It ended up taking a little longer than that two phone calls to the company to finally get my item 27 days after the order was placed. Once I got the product I was happy I waited. It is beautiful. The fabric isn’t upholstered quit as flawless as it’s show in the picture, but pretty darn close. It’s adjustable so it should work good for any mattress set up, I was worried because my mattress is a little on the high side, and I wanted a tall headboard and this one defiantly goes high enough to show even once all my pillows are displayed on the bed. The color does appear slightly darker than it shows on the website, but it may just be my monitor. Also, since silver is a reflective color it’s important to keep in mind that it tends to take a hint of color to those colors around it. So in my case since my room is blue, it takes a blue hint. The fabric is soft and smooth, but seems durable. Also, as one poster mentioned it is a little wobbly, but all the headboards I have had are the same way, I think it’s simply how they are attached to the frame. All in all, this headboard has certainly made my bed the focus point of my bedroom, I think it’s stunning, especially for the price! It looks much nicer in person than in the online photo. This headboard had just the modern look to match my bedroom furnishings. Please note the assembly was a bit tricky. The assembly instructions are not sufficient. One of the screws had bad threads and I had to replace it, fortunately I had the same. You'll need to do some math before assembly in order to get the headboard attached to the uprights. Alternatively, you can pull the bed away from the wall so you make height adjustments after the headboard is installed. Since the uprights are to be attached first I needed to add the height of the box spring and mattress to know where to adjust the headboard's height so it sat just below the mattress when installed since I didn't want to see any of the wall. You'll be happier if you use a socket wrench on the nuts to attach the headboard, otherwise it's too hard to reach them with a wrench. Before you tighten the nuts, make sure the headboard is centered left to right on the bed frame as well. I'm an engineer so I managed, just a heads up. You'll notice a slight out gassing smell for a week or so but not too strong. Despite the assembly issues, it really is a very good value for a nice modern headboard!"..."  Read more
