Like any other headboard that is only supported by a metal framed bed with two bolts on either side, it can of course wobble a bit and seem flimsy. However, if firmly pressed up to a wall this headboard works very well and has the perfect amount of cushioning. The color is a deep purple and works well with black or burgundy sheets/blankets.
