Headboards

I bought this product, because I wanted an elegant, black tufted headboard. When I saw this skyline headboard it seemed to be what I was looking for... unfortunately looks are deceiving. When the headboard arrived I expected a nice true black headboard and a silk-like material. This headboard is not true black. It is much more faded than I expected. (I had seen pictures of the headboard elsewhere and it looked true black.) Also when something is advertised as silk-like I expect a silk-like material (that was probably the most disappointing factor). Let's call it like it is, it's cotton with the slightest, tiniest bit of sheen to it. Not worthy of comparison to silk. However, after I got over the shock and disappointment, this is a beautiful headboard. It's elegant and expensive-looking and is nicely padded, (which is good if you like to read or watch t.v. sitting up against the headboard, it's comfortable.) Everyone who sees it thinks it's nice. The only other problem is that no matter how tight the bolts are it still wiggles a bit, and despite the fact that I have a very tall bed, the headboard is still a bit too tall for my bed, which I'll get fixed because I am not giving this headboard up. Weve been looking for a headboard for our king size bed for some time now. King size beds are overwhelming in their size alone for most bedrooms so you dont want to add to the problem by adding a headboard that makes it worse. While searching for a decent & affordable headboard onlie, I stumbled across the Wayfair brand on [@] site & decided to check out Wayfair's website directly. This particular headboard had no reviews yet, so I was hesitant and didn't know what to expect -- but when it arrived, WOW! I was beyond pleasantly surprised. It's gorgeous, wellmade & very classy looking rivaling that of the pottery barn options I had considered, but for a fraction of the price. I dOnt think there's anything else out there that is this well made at this price point. It was also easy to install on our king size bed frame, albeit a bit heavy. I bought this headboard on an auction-style website. I had been searching for a white headboard for some time, most of them looked cheaply made or the leather wasn't good quality. They created a modern twist on the nail buttons, they are not separated, they are more of an interesting metal design (connected to one another), most of them are silver but every fourth round piece is a darker pewter color. I like it but a traditionalist may not, they should probably mention this in their description of the headboard."..."  Read more
