I bought this floor for the whole house, with the exception of bathrooms and utility room. I was looking for a floor that did not show dirt or scratches since I have a dog. This floor is also not slick, which is great for dogs and humans. It has been four months since installation and I couldn't be happier. It never looks dirty (even when it is) and I get many compliments from family and friends. This floor will look great in any decor. My house is a more modern look, but it also looks great in my sister's country/ rustic home."..."  Read more

We ordered this wood floor to put in the kitchen. We chose it because of the handscraped/rustic finish as it would blend all scratches and wear and tear with 3 kids and 2 dogs. Found it at a local store for a higher price. Looked on line and found it at this website for a less per square foot price, [...]we were thrilled. Unfortunetly, i order too much and we have many boxes left. Thinking about doing another bedroom now as its not easy to return the unused boxes. The floor is stunningly beautiful though."..."  Read more

We will use this in our bathroom remodel. It warm and soft underfoot. Its very unique, great depth of color and surface texture. Almost looks like a wood floor -- without the drawbacks."

I couldn't be happier with this floor. The picture is not true to color. It's actually a a more golden/orange color rather than the usual pinkish of the natural cork color, with lighter "Butter Cream" accents. It creates a warm ambiance that the usual color lacks. It's also Softer/Warmer/Quieter than Hardwood. It was also easy to install...just click into place over a moisture barrier."..."  Read more

Both Solid Hardwood and Engineered Hardwood are real wood. The difference betweeen the two is that Solid Hardwood is one piece of wood milled from lumber where as Engineered Hardwood is three to ten layers of wood called plies that are glued together in a cross-ply construction for added stability.

Hardwood Flooring is available in many different surface types and finishes. Handscraped Hardwood and Distressed Hardwood are two of the most popular trends in Hardwood Flooring right now.
  Surface Type
Beveled Edges have a very distinctive, deep V-groove, where as Microbeveled or Eased Edges have a less distinctive, more shallow V-groove between planks. Kissed Edges are even subtler than Eased Edges, about 1/2 of the depth. Distressed Edges have some slight irregularity often matching the look of distressed planks. Square Edges create a smooth, uniform surface from plank to plank.
  Edge Type
From a do-it-yourself standpoint, a Floating Floor Installation is the easiest method to install a Hardwood Floor. Coming in second would be a Staple or Nail Down Installation, and a Glue Down Installation is the most difficult of the three methods. Click-Lock refers to a specific style of Floating Floors. For more information check out our Flooring Installation Guide in advice central!
  Installation
Lock and Fold: flooring is snapped together by hand, generally easier to install (DIY-friendly!)

Click: flooring is installed by lining up the connectors at the side of each board and tapping them together with a mallet and tapping block

Glue: flooring requires adhesive or glue between each seam during installation to ensure a strong seal between each board
