I bought the exact same flooring from Home Depot when doing the first 2 rooms in my house. It was more expensive and the service was terrible. Later I went back to the HD store to order 47 boxes to do the entire house and it was less to order online. I went home and decided to search for other options, and discovered Wayfair. The price was much better, the shipping was cheap and no sales tax. Wayfair didnt show enough inventory so I called and the service was EXCELLENT! They followed up with me 3 times to be sure all things were OK. The items arrived quickly and ib perfect condition. I am very pleased and highly recommend Wayfair."..."  Read more

The use of this product is simple and easy. We layed the floor at an angle. We rented a 15 guage, 2-1/2" staple air gun that worked like a charm. As recommended, it's best to open all of the boxes and lay out the flooring, due to the several variations of colors. We were a bit shocked to see that 9 boxes had (all) what I consider "white washed" and 6 boxes had (all) what I consider true "vanilla". It was a bit tricky making sure I used enough vanilla throughout the room without running out, but it worked. I believe the "white washed" color may darken over time and become a more even "vanilla" color, but if not, it's o.k. Although the colors varied, when layed out in a random pattern (some colors were grouped together), you couldn't ask for a more beautiful floor! It's exactly what I was looking for."..."  Read more

I had this installed just over a year ago. I did a lot of research on bamboo flooring and this was a Consumer's Reports best buy. I only found good things about it. The cheaper stuff got bad reviews in terms of fading, scratching and denting. I have dropped many things on this floor and have not dented it once. It looks beautiful and everyone who has seen it has been impressed. My only problem is that since it is dark colored, it shows lint, cat hair etc very easily. A lighter color probably wouldn't. All in all it is a terrific product."..."  Read more

Both Solid Hardwood and Engineered Hardwood are real wood. The difference betweeen the two is that Solid Hardwood is one piece of wood milled from lumber where as Engineered Hardwood is three to ten layers of wood called plies that are glued together in a cross-ply construction for added stability.

Hardwood Flooring is available in many different surface types and finishes. Handscraped Hardwood and Distressed Hardwood are two of the most popular trends in Hardwood Flooring right now.
  Surface Type
Beveled Edges have a very distinctive, deep V-groove, where as Microbeveled or Eased Edges have a less distinctive, more shallow V-groove between planks. Kissed Edges are even subtler than Eased Edges, about 1/2 of the depth. Distressed Edges have some slight irregularity often matching the look of distressed planks. Square Edges create a smooth, uniform surface from plank to plank.
  Edge Type
From a do-it-yourself standpoint, a Floating Floor Installation is the easiest method to install a Hardwood Floor. Coming in second would be a Staple or Nail Down Installation, and a Glue Down Installation is the most difficult of the three methods. Click-Lock refers to a specific style of Floating Floors. For more information check out our Flooring Installation Guide in advice central!
  Installation
Lock and Fold: flooring is snapped together by hand, generally easier to install (DIY-friendly!)

Click: flooring is installed by lining up the connectors at the side of each board and tapping them together with a mallet and tapping block

Glue: flooring requires adhesive or glue between each seam during installation to ensure a strong seal between each board
