Hamilton Beach Thermal Coffeemaker with Carafe - 45238

I bought this for my wife for Mother's day after having the same coffee maker for the last 10 years. Having the Carafe vs. warmer is nice to avoid burning the coffee. The programming instructions weren't the easiest to understand. Not using filters is nice, but the coffee taste requires a little adjusting after being a filter user for 10+ years. Overall - It's a nice buy for the price.

The only complaint I've had is the lack of a water view window. You have to be able to see inside to know where its at. I'm short, so its up kind of high for me. Normally of course you'd use the carafe to measure, you can't do that with the insulated SS one. Overall I do love the machine.

Before this coffeemaker, I had a Bunn. This is very different. It takes 12 minutes to brew a pot of coffee, the carafe that is supposed to keep the coffee hot only does so for a short period of time. I had to purchase a few different types of coffee in order to find one that was strong enough to use with this coffeemaker. I had been using the same style of coffee my entire life and did not know that a coffeemaker would make such an impact on the type that was used. (after this coffee maker goes out, I will probably go back to a Bunn)

It's the easiest to fill coffee maker I've ever owned. The coffee tastes fresh with each pot. We like the convenience of using the tall coffee cups to make one for each of us.
