Love It !!!!!

I love this coffee maker. It brews a nice size one cup of coffee that u can leave in the travel mug for on the go or pour into a coffee mug. It works great for me since I am the only coffee drinker but still needed a full size coffee maker for guest. Most one-cup coffee makers brew small cups, not this one. It come with a placement part for pods (which I dont do) and has a basket for the scoopers. I haven't even used the full size pot yet. Now I don't waste coffee (as much as it cost) brewing it in a full size pot at the 4 cup level and the only person drinking it. Thanks Hamilton-Beach!!!!! It brews it good and hot and auto shut off when done...what more can u ask for....

This may not be a Krups or a Cuisinart or any other designer brand name which is why, in my snobbishness, I was hesitant to try it out. But, after reading the reviews, I thought 'why not'. The price was better than the others, it had many of the same features, and to boot, I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars on a K-cup machine if I wanted single-cup brewing function. Besides, all the other higher-end brands I've tried were just ok (coffee didn't get hot enough, carafe dripped, etc.), so why not try a non-designer one

Just purchased this coffee pot I love it! My hubby likes to drink coffee all day long he had a tendency to make a full pot in the evening waste 12 of it. No more ! If he wants a cup the big pot is finished, he can make his own individual cup it is nice fresh, no more wasting coffee. The coffee is good hot too when it is made. My previous pot had a stainless steel carafe, which is the only thing that could make this more perfect. I have friends who are on Keurig pots 3, they complain they only last about a year. I think the coffee is too expensive for the quantity that we drink. However, we buy good quality coffee. There is an option to use those individual coffee pods for the individual coffeecup if you so chose to use it. But this has a scoop filter for loose grounds that is what we use.
Best of Both

This is a great coffeemaker for making a large pot and a single-serving. I love having both options in one machine. It's more eco-friendly since I'm not using pods or wasting an entire filter for one serving. It brews quickly, the coffee tastes great, and it has the functions I need (like program) without a bunch I don't. Simple, sleek, looks great on the counter. Easy to clean, easy to use.
Great Great GREAT!!!

I am not a "Single Cup" coffee drinker, so ordering a Keurig was out of the question. I drink my coffee a pot at a time, usually. I know...it's a problem I'm working on. Anyway, as I researched coffee makers, this Hamilton Beach model was the highest rated and I thought it deserved a look. I've had all kinds of coffee makers in the past, from the single cup variety to the "Order the coffee and get a coffee maker FREE" variety, to other quality machines with a grinder and coffee bean holder already attached. The Scoop Two-Way Brewer is the best I've had so far. I can control whether I want to brew one cup or twelve. I can program it to brew at whatever time I want. There's very little clean-up (rinse out the carafe or cup and replace the filter and you're done) compared to that high-tech grinder model. I have even remarked to people that I have yet to spill a single drop. When pouring water into the brew chamber, in the past, I've always had water spill down the side of the pot and onto the counter or splash off the rim...it can be very messy. Whoever designed the pour spout here deserves some kind of medal!

I have only had this coffee maker for about a month now, but I have used both the carafe and the single-serve feature. I am very happy with this coffee maker. One small thing that is a big deal for me... I love that the carafe on this does not drip randomly when pouring like my old coffemate carafe used to. On the coffeemate carafe, if you didn't pour very slowly, quite often coffee would end up running down the sid eof the pot and then there was a bit of clean up.

Having the two options for our office was the main reason for getting this coffeemaker. The 12-cup option is good for the morning 'coffee-run' but as the day wears on, the single-cup option is more efficient and economical. The Senseo pods are not as easy to find as the K-pods. And having to clean out the wire filter every time is not as convenient. It would also be better to have a large transparent water container on the side instead of having to fill it up every time with water, especially for single cups.
I absolutely LOVE this coffee maker!!!!

I almost exclusively use the single cup brewer. It comes out hotter than other pots, and can make all sizes of cups of coffee. No stringing customers along with proprietary coffee pods Kcups or other rip offs. You just use your own coffee or tea. I am 44 and this is my favorite that I have ever owned.

I wanted the cup feature and we also needed the larger brewing capacity for tea. This was a wonderful set up and we have been able to get rid of 2 machines and replace it with just one. We are very happy with it.
GREAT COFFEE POT

AN ADDED BAR ACROSS THE FRONT OF THE POT WAS A GREAT IDEA TO PREVENT SPILLING OUT THE SIDES WHEN POURING COFFEE. THE SINGLE SERVE BREW CUP DOES NOT REQUIRE ONLY K-CUPS WHICH IS A LOT MORE ECONOMICAL WHEN IT COMES TO BUYING COFFEE. WE LIKE THIS ITEM A LOT!
