The waffle blades are not removable, which would be so much nicer to clean if they were. On the positive side, it heats up quickly and cooks evenly. Directions say to wait until the steam stops to tell when waffle is done. It doesnt really stop steaming so you need to gauge by time only, when the wafflrs are done. Was this helpful? Yes / No

I actually think the manual is helpful - most haven't been - mainly with electronics. I have used it twice and love it. I'm giving away a waffle maker I've had since 1967 - it is time, and I prefer Belgian waffles now. There is no way I could've kept my 1st one as clean as I can see I'll be able to with this one.
