When toasting smaller sourdough slices, they are hard to remove. I tried 2 slices inone slot vertically and the bottom burned and the top wasn't toasted enough, With regular bread by the time the breads is a golden brown it is also dried out. I like the separate toster leavings clean trays. I should've sent it back....

My husband and I just got this toaster recently, and we're very happy with it so far. It toasts evenly and predictably. Our last toaster, a Sunbeam, burned our toast one evening and brought the fire department to our apartment (seriously), so we quickly decided we needed something a bit less exciting. This is a sturdy, sensible toaster, with wide slots and various cooking options and an automatic "cancel" feature. My husband likes that it's metal instead of plastic, like our Sunbeam was. It's also very attractive. We're happy with our choice!
