David Podsiadlo

David studied Industrial Design before contributing to a number of architectural and interior design firms in Toronto. In 1999 he co-founded Stylegarage in the city's West Queen West neighborhood, which served as a retail outlet for his furniture designs, emphasizing raw materials, clean lines, and basic forms. After quickly gaining local notoriety for his contemporary, unfussy approach to furniture, David and his partners launched Gus* in 2001, taking his designs to a North American market and earning the "Best New Collection" distinction at the 2001 International Gift Fair in Manhattan. Collecting accolades ever since, David continues to serve as partner and Lead Designer at Gus*

The Gus classic Club Chair frame, with compact styling and a stainless steel perimeter base, is now offered as part of the Gus Essentials Collection. Featuring button-tufted cushioning, the Jane Chair adds a touch of simple elegance to any contemporary space.
