About the Designer
David studied Industrial Design before contributing to a number of architectural and interior design firms in Toronto. In 1999 he co-founded Stylegarage in the city's West Queen West neighborhood, which served as a retail outlet for his furniture designs, emphasizing raw materials, clean lines, and basic forms. After quickly gaining local notoriety for his contemporary, unfussy approach to furniture, David and his partners launched Gus* in 2001, taking his designs to a North American market and earning the "Best New Collection" distinction at the 2001 International Gift Fair in Manhattan. Collecting accolades ever since, David continues to serve as partner and Lead Designer at Gus*

Good but not perfect

I love the style of the chair. From the images online, I thought the back would be a little taller. It is kind of short which makes it not very comfortable to lean back in and fits a little awkwardly with the rest of my furniture. The leather is very stiff. But overall is great quality and comes preassembled.

The Delano chairs by Gus Modern are very nice pieces: the leather is excellent and the workmanship is 9.5 out of ten overall! They are very universal and comfortable to sit in ; but I do not think they are "curl up in" type chairs. Very stylish and easy on the eyes. The metal gives you just a touch of the lounge look, but not over done: the metal has a brushed finish (NOT chrome) very tasteful! The white leather is more residential, while the black is more of a commercial look. NO hype, they are elegant and well done! Good value for designer pieces.
