Very pretty chair
Sarah from Dana Point, CA – Verified Buyer
I love this chair, it's comfortable and looks great for a baby room and potentially can go somewhere else in your house when you are finished with it in the nursery. It seems like the quality is good. My only complaint was the delivery time, it did arrive in a few weeks but the projected delivery date was initially 8 weeks out which wasn't really represented when I placed the order. It all ended up working out but was a bit stressful.
Beautiful but not practical

I am currently sitting in this glider trying to nurse my2 week old baby. The glider is awful for nursing and acceptable for rocking. In terms of nursing the arms rests are too low and narrow and requires adding pillows to prop up each of your own arms in order to avoid severe strain on your back, wrists and elbows. I'm using a nursing pillow to keep the baby in place but have added the pillows under each arm and my back. The glider function is adequate and works when in motion, however, if you try to get up from the glider when it is in the lowest position the glider pushes so far forward it hits bottom with a loud noise - potentially startling your sleeping baby. Once you rise from the chair after you've hit bottom you must contend with the glider continuing to rock back and forth making additional loud noises. As a Professional designer myself- I am continually thinking of ways to improve on the design of this chair. If this is being advertised as a piece of nursery furniture I would hope the designer/ manufacturer considers their users carefully and create something that is ergonomicaly appropriate as well as aesthetically pleasing. That being said- the chair looks great in my nursery but its poor function leaves a lot to be desired.

I was so excited to find a cool modern glider that I wouldnt be embarrassed to put in my living room. I loved the look of this glider but when I went to see it in person I was so disappointed. Cushions are so hard and terribly uncomfortable. Like sitting on a rock. You can feel the wood through the cushioning. Upholstery looks cheap and like it would pill easily. Found out Gus furniture is made in China, not Canada as you might expect from a Canadian company. My search will have to continue. So disappointed that they cheaped out on such a great-looking design. Im disappointed in Gus Modern. What a waste and a shame.
good quiet slider

This chair was pricey but is beautiful, modern and pretty quiet. It is, however, very narrow.

I love the clean lines and the small scale of this glider in comparision to most gliders available today. The cushioning is firm, which is still comfortable, and should hold it's shape well. I bought this for my nursery, and baby hasn't arrived yet, so I haven't had too much time to use it much yet - that's why it only has 4 stars instead of 5 right now. I very well might up the rating once I start using it daily.
Very comfortable, looks great

The arms on this are a little low, which I actually prefer since it allows me to hold my daughter nicely and not have to squeeze my arms in the chair. the pillow behind my back makes it super comfy and it rocks gently.

I love the glider! Perfect for our new baby boy modern nursery. Going to order the matching ottoman.
Great nursery chair!
Jennifer G. from Kansas City, MO
After suffering through a hand-me-down glider with my first child, we invested in this beautiful glider for our second. She just turned one year old, and I'm happy to report that I've spent many comfotable hours in this chair. While it is a very firm chair, it is perfectly porportioned and designed for mom and baby and even dad and baby. Everything has held up nicely, and you can barely tell we've used it despite the fact that it gets daily use! My only complaint is that it is not quite wide enough to accomodate my three-year old, my one year old and me at story time, but that's okay.
Perfect in nursery
AJ White from NYC
I purchased this to place in my nursery and it looks and feels great. It has worked out perfectly for us in our first year. It is also the perfect size. It is the first chair I can sit in comfortably and my feet fully reach the ground. I can't wait for when my daughter gets older and I can move this into my room!

I love Gus Modern products! Why don't you ship Canadian products to Canada???
