Guidecraft Pirate Treasure Chest Toy Box - G83704

I created a pirate room for my boys and this toy box treasure chest is the main focal point. It's very high quality, spacious and unique. I'm very satisfied with this purchase!

This was a gift for my nephew which I put together to present to him for his birthday. I had to explain to my brother (the baby's father) that even though the front of the chest was scratched and the corner of the bottom was split and I had to glue it wasn't bought used. I didn't have time to send it back because of time restraint relevant to the party, I figured if you spent a couple hundred dollars on a gift it wouldn't arrive damaged. Very embarrassing.

I purchased this for my grandson's nursery which is decorated in a subtle nautical theme, and it looks adorable! It was easy to assemble and the hinges are designed to keep the top from slamming down on little fingers. It looks exactly as pictured.

His parents are really pleased with the hinged top, which is a wonderful safety feature . The wheels roll smoothly and easily without slipping and sliding all over the hardwood floors. Overall, the chest is well designed and crafted and they are looking forward to future presents like this from a loving grandmother! As for me I am impressed with the ease and efficiency of delivery service to Canada and the courtesy and helpfulness of staff. This is definitely a point in favor of your company, compared to the horrible experience at the same time with purchasing a double stroller from another childrens' company.

Product Review

The product is a toy storage box. For parents it is a useful place to store toys. For children it appeals to their imagination and teaches them to tidy their belongings. Also, toys that have been out of sight for a period of time, become interesting once again!! Others have had difficulty with the screws. They work fine if screwed in gently without a great deal of pressure. Because of the weight of the lid, it requires two people to assemble it.

Service Review

The delivery was prompt but the product was not in perfect condition when it arrived. The baseboard for the chest was cracked at one corner and there were blotches of white paint on the dark surfaces. Fortunately, it was still possible to put the chest together and the blotches were not obvious to an observer. It would have been impossible to put all the parts back in the box and return it to the manufacturer.

Very durable and the artwork is full of great detail. My five year old daughter uses it for her speial toys dolls and barbies. The only con is the screws that come with it are flimsy buy your own and you have a sturdy product.

I bought this toy box for my 3-year old nephew and he loves it!!! Has great saftey features so it will not slam down on him or catch his fingers. It is also sturdy enough that he can climb and sit on it. My biggest complaint was that the screws that were provided for assembly were extremly flimsy and stripped easily. After trying one or two I opted to hit the hardware store to buy better screws. Despit the screw issue this was a great gift at a great price. (I shopped around and this was the best price with the best shipping option) I would highly recommend it for anyone with little pirate lovers in the house.
