The raclette is very well constructed and attractive. (We bought the red one with the granite top.) I have two sons, ages 9 and 11, and they love to cook family style. Weve been hooked on fondue for years, but the raclette gives us additional options - like grilling small bits of meat, vegetables, etc. Perfect not only for adult dinner parties, but also for dinners with kids. A for family fun. Were already talking about hauling the raclette up to our cottage for the summer. I can see family friends sitting out on the deck on nice evenings or in front of the fireplace when it is chilly -- cooking in the raclette over wine conversation. Id definitely recommend the granite top for this Raclette. It is very easy to clean and doesnt have any of the health problems (or scratchespeeling) of the non-stick surface. We used it the day we got it!!! Cooked a variety of meats and sefood!! Everything was grt!! And somewhat to my surprize, the stone was very easy to clean!!!!!"
