Grillpro Universal Heavy Duty Rotisserie Kit - 60090

This unit has some of the heaviest and sturdy parts for rotisserie use that I have ever seen for the price. I did not give it a 5 star rating because I have not tried the motor with a 8 or 9 pound hunk of beef or pork....However there is no reason to believe it would not handle it with ease.

This product was well made and a good price. Was not easy to install on our grill; we had to modify it extensively.

The spit is durable and the motor turns it smoothly when the counterweight is adjusted. It has worked fine with no problems. I did have some trouble with the installation. Even though I measured the grill width before buying the rotisserie I needed to lengthen the spit about 2" outside the grill cover to provide enough clearance to the cover for the counterweight. For my grill that is 28" wide I needed a 36" long spit.

Thanks to my wife's friends..... we can't eat ham or chicken unless it's done with a rotisserie. This one is the best that I have come across. The fit was easy to adjust to my grill.

Things that are great about it

Worked great for about a month. We love to rotisserie. However, the motor suddenly gave out the last time we used it. Should've at least lasted through the summer. We took good care of it and never left it out in the weather.

Retains food with four fork design. Included switch makes easy stop and start for basting. Counter-weight assists in steady rotation speed. Easy assembly and adjustment.

Given that Weber grills are among the most popular I certainly expected this product, with its claim of "universal fit", to be compatible. Instead, there is no way to fit it to a Weber Genesis without at least some drilling and perhaps additional metalwork. Even the half of the mount that does seem compatible isn't because the supplied screws have heads so small they pass through the holes in the body of the grill. Even if I don't fault the product, it seems a little absurd for a store dedicated to grill equipment to not note this glaring incompatibility.

Great for grilling. You can turn it on and walk away, giving you time to prepare the rest of the meal.Meat stays moist amd tastes great.
