The Lodge round griddle has served our family in many meals. Cooking in the cast iron has many benefits. I am a HUGE fan of Nordic Ware products. They truly are superior to others I have tried. They are a "Green" company & I highly encourage all to look into the process how they elimanate the use of poisonous chemicals from their coating, unlike other companies with nonstick. You can't go wrong with Nordic Ware and their items will last such a long time even with daily use. Our son loves to make pancakes but I hate having to clean up after him. I bought this for him so he could have his very own pancake pan to cook with. These are the perfect size for everyone and has encouraged him to clean up after cooking. The pan only needs a wipe down to remove any crumbs on the edges. Nothing more.The pancakes slide right off the pan onto the plate. NOTHING sticks to this pan and despite my thoughts of uneven cooking, every pancake circle cooked even & perfect. I even gave him a wood spatula to use with it for preventing scratches. I found this pan to be very useful, the smooth cooking service is perfect for frying bacon. I have 3 small complaints. Firstly, the pan is a wee too small. The square design I thought would hold at least 8 strips of bacon, it holds 6. Secondly, the pan is not heavy enough, this creates a bit of a balancing act as the handle is to long and too heavy to allow the pan to stay level. Thirdly, the lip of the pan is too low and I am concerned that the grease will come over the top and cause a grease fire, as I have a gas stove[...]"..."  Read more

Love the stainless finish & clear tempered glass dome lid. You can cook just about anything, even things that you wouldn't normally use a griddle to cook. Non stick surface works really well. The only down side would be the stainless around the outside edge of the griddle gets discolored from the stove top burner that's difficult to clean. Very happy with the purchase."..."  Read more
