Only lasted a year
Illinifans from Illinois
I bought one of these in the spring of 2012 to collect rain water for our vegetable garden. It worked ok at first but the drain lets out the water at barely a trickle. As I filled it with water this spring (2013), the barrel never seemed to fill up. One day I finally turned it over and there was a very large crack on the bottom of the plastic where all the water was leaking out. I contacted the company (Good Ideas) and sent pictures of the defect near a seam and a copy of my receipt. I was the told that it was out of warranty and that all they could do was offer me a discount on a new one. I believe it was only a month out of warranty. So I want to warn anyone considering the purchase of this unit that the company does not stand behind their product as they are very strict about the 12 month warranty. If they wanted to act in good faith, they would have replaced it. The discount on another unit was worthless as I wouldn't want to throw away good money for a potentially defective product a second time. Please beware that this may not last more than a year.
Wrong color was a great twist of fate

Really like the look of this rain barrel. Liked it so much I ordered a second one. The brass spout is great. Most rain barrels have plastic spouts. They did ship the wrong color but I liked it better then the one I had ordered. I ordered the terra cotta and received the granite on both orders. Loved the granite so I kept them. We did add another small hole on the top and put a screen over it to let the water in faster and keep the planter from overflowing.
Rain barrel saves on hose water use

Be sure to order a connector to the downspout and plan to put the rainbarrels high enough so that you can fill a watering can from the low-to-the-ground spigot. I love saving the rain from our downspouts and using it to fill our watering cans for all our patio potted plants.

Looks great and works well! This is my first rain barrel so I can not compare but this one has measured up to my expectations. I use it to water plants and have attached a hose to fill up my small pond, it is slow due to lack of pressure but anything that helps lower my water bill makes me happy. I have had this about two months and it is already full. With the flat back the rain barrel sits a couple inches from my house and the gutter lines up nicely. I am thinking about buying another one and would recommend to a friend.
Just what I wanted!

This is the perfect rain barrel. A great size and color. We were getting new gutters, so I bought 6 rain barrels to go on all around the house. They have tubing in the back (flat side) so you can piggyback them to add on extras, if needed. Also comes with a nice brass spigot.

We ordered two of these. They do what they say, they catch rainwater, but there are a couple things that I'm not in love with. The pressure of the spigot is ok but don't expect to full anything fast, especially as it empties. The other main concern I have is that there isn't any easy way to set it up for overflow, the water just comes out the back right into the side of the house. Not good long term. But for now, these will work for extra garden water.
Wrong color, happy with the mistake
Peggy from Linn Valley, KS
Ordered the terra cotta rain barrel. I received the granite by mistake. I liked it so much I order another terra cotta and recieved another granite rain barrel. I am glad I like the granite so much, would have been very disappointed to have to return such a large packages. These are very nice and sturdy. Looks great, love the brass spout. Much better than the plastic on most rain barrels. We did add another hole in the bottom of the planter and covered with it with a screen to allow the water to collect faster without drowning the plants with the overflow.
rain wizard 65 gallon rain barrel
Margaret from Valdese, NC – Verified Buyer
I am very pleased with this rain barrel - it arrived in two days in excellent condition. It is exactly as it is described. It is good quality; the spigot attached with no problem. Our regular and soaker hose fits so there is was no need to purchase a separate one. I an very glad I got the 65 gallon one. I am thinking of getting another one for the front of my house.
Rain Urn a Classy Addition

Love this style. Easy to set up. No rain yet to see it work. Screen was broke in shipping, In no time a replacement was sent. I was asked how they could improve shipping to keep this from happening again. There are two over flow diverters ports on the back to attach a hose. There was no mention of this in the product discription. This was something I really wanted too. This is the second order from Wayfair in three mos. and I have nothing but positve things to say.

I love mine, great for watering my plants in the back yard. and I like the planter on top, I planted colorful flowers. and the color blends in with the brick color. I did wish it came with a short hose, with it so close to the ground u need a watering container that fits under the spout.
