Only lasted a year from Illinois on 07/08/2013
I bought one of these in the spring of 2012 to collect rain water for our vegetable garden. It worked ok at first but the drain lets out the water at barely a trickle. As I filled it with water this spring (2013), the barrel never seemed to fill up. One day I finally turned it over and there was a very large crack on the bottom of the plastic where all the water was leaking out. I contacted the company (Good Ideas) and sent pictures of the defect near a seam and a copy of my receipt. I was the told that it was out of warranty and that all they could do was offer me a discount on a new one. I believe it was only a month out of warranty. So I want to warn anyone considering the purchase of this unit that the company does not stand behind their product as they are very strict about the 12 month warranty. If they wanted to act in good faith, they would have replaced it. The discount on another unit was worthless as I wouldn't want to throw away good money for a potentially defective product a second time. Please beware that this may not last more than a year.

Wrong color was a great twist of fate from Linn Valley, KS on 09/18/2014 – Verified Buyer
Really like the look of this rain barrel. Liked it so much I ordered a second one. The brass spout is great. Most rain barrels have plastic spouts. They did ship the wrong color but I liked it better then the one I had ordered. I ordered the terra cotta and received the granite on both orders. Loved the granite so I kept them. We did add another small hole on the top and put a screen over it to let the water in faster and keep the planter from overflowing.

Rain barrel saves on hose water use from Georgetown, DE on 09/15/2014 – Verified Buyer
Be sure to order a connector to the downspout and plan to put the rainbarrels high enough so that you can fill a watering can from the low-to-the-ground spigot. I love saving the rain from our downspouts and using it to fill our watering cans for all our patio potted plants.

Wonderful Qualiy Product from Mooresville, NC on 07/02/2015 – Verified Buyer
Hooked one barrel to a front downspout where a lot of rain comes off a large portion of our roof in front and another to a back downspout where the rain comes from two different portions of our backyard roof. Easy to install. After the first thunderstorm they were both full! Hooked the third one up to a downspout on the side of our house the other day. The large 65 gallon capacity is particularly nice to have during drought conditions. Water is very expensive in our area, and I have been watering all my plants in the front yard as well as the backyard with the rain we have received for free! I have been saving one gallon jugs as well in our shed, and when the barrels still contain water and a thunderstorm is predicted, I simply drain the barrel water into the jugs and let nature refill my barrels. I use the jug water first to water my plants, then the refilled barrels. These barrels appear to be sturdy and well built, so I expect that they will last for many years. Well worth the money in water savings. Pros: Durable, Very attractive, Can hold a potted plant in top Cons: Need to drill a few more holes in the top to accept the rushing water from the downspout (easily done).

Just what I wanted! from Burnet, TX on 09/22/2014 – Verified Buyer
This is the perfect rain barrel. A great size and color. We were getting new gutters, so I bought 6 rain barrels to go on all around the house. They have tubing in the back (flat side) so you can piggyback them to add on extras, if needed. Also comes with a nice brass spigot.
