It's beautiful! Solid construction, beautifully made and looks majestic (for a mailbox). Purchase 4 wood plugs 3/8 inch to fill the holes under the arm - too bad they aren't provided and primed. Drawbacks: directions regarding the solutions provided (glue and paint) are very limited. it's hard to understand what parts are in each purchase such as post, arm, and actual box. Some of the pictures show a newspaper slot and others do not - ours ended up not having the newspaper slot. And last but not least, the final paint needs to be applied. Also, this is so heavy that I would not attempt to place in ground without concrete.
Great mailbox post

Fabulous quality wood mailbox post. Looks very expensive once installed. Had to touch up with paint a bit (but that is provided in box) Would give it more stars but we are having trouble finding a mailbox to fit the post after it was installed - we have tried 3, and so far all are too large for post...

Post was exactly as expected. Yes, minor assembly is required: Customer will need to attached the post to the mailbox platform, post cap, and attach the supporting arch - all done with enclosed screws. Beyond that, have a post-hole digger handy, and you've completed the mailbox post replacement project. The cedar post did arrive with a nice-sized gouge in the 4x4 post (and packing box), compliments of UPS (nothing new there as their policy tends to be 'If it isn't destroyed during the process, then we didn't ship it'). Easily fixed with wood putty andor facing the gouge away from street view. Great purchase, overall.
Beautiful curbside appeal.

Love it! It looks exactly like the picture and the quality exceeded our expectations. Pros: Strong material and beautifully finished. Cons: Trimed 5 inches from the post and cut down the board under the box to fit our standard mailbox.

Mailbox post was easy to put together and includes all hardware and even glue for assembling the arm. Its hard to believe a new mailbox post can make such a difference in appearance but this is a great looking solid wood post meant to be installed in concrete. This is not a cheap plastic or pvc post that mounts on an metal stake. I expect this to last for many years and was worth every dollar.
Quality mailbox post!

I love the look of this mailbox. It has nice clean lines with an elegant feel. The quality is excellent. The company includes a paint touchup kit for knicks after installation.

Assembled very quickly, and I'm not terribly handy. Looks great, easy to install as long as you have a level.

Looks good in person. As expected, not top shelf quality but positively good value for the money. Color is close to true white. Simple assembly.
OK product, but it requires assembly!
Johanna from West Chester, PA – Verified Buyer
Assembled, this product is very nice. The material is quality, nothing arrived broken, and it is true to the advertised picture. HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE THIS REQUIRES ASSEMBLY! This was huge for me because I am a petite lady and the post stands nearly seven feet tall. It took me several hours and another set of hands to assemble. Also, there are gaps where the pieces fit together, and I had to caulk to complete. For the price, still a great deal, however, it really ticked me off that there was no indication assembly was required.
very nice post for my mailbox

Sturdy and attractive. A bit pricy, but it looks nice. Hard to install though.
