"Hello Suzanne, the frame of this sofa is made of solid wood, and the cushion/mattress is made of both layers of high resilience foam and super soft boam. The fabric used on the outside cover (cannot be removed) of the sofa is premium fabric consist of 65% poly and 35 cotton, and the actual thickness of the sofa cushion is about 6.5 inches (slight variation may occur). I hope this information helps."
