Crate exceeded expectations --Five plus stars. from Arkansas on 12/16/2014 – Verified Buyer
I bought this crate for my one year old rescued pitbull after he had very expensive cruciate knee repair. He wasn't used to being crated and had basically shredded two other regular "heavy duty" crates in just one week, breaking the welds and bending the bars. I had priced "gorilla crates" but I didn't care how they looked or the price tag they carried. I knew there had to be a less intimidating looking crate for my dog. It was important to find a secure crate for him as his activity was going to be limited (to crate rest only)during his critical post op period. The crate arrived and it was quick and easy to set up. In fact, it was so easy I doubted it's strength at first. I was pleased to see that the large pet crate actually has two door latches instead of the one that the catalog picture showed. The finish on the crate is a silver-tone hammered look and is very attractive. The bars are spaced in such a way that it would be difficult for a dog to get a leg caught in them and the top is made from the same heavy duty bars as the rest of the crate. I needed the tray to fit inside the crate instead of underneath so I could add non-skid rubber crate mats for safety and it fit snug and secure. ( He actually slipped on the floor of the other crates he had and it scared him. I think that's why he was trying so hard to get out of them.) He did try to "work" this crate the first day and then stopped. He was unable to cause any damage and the bars and welds remained intact. ( Keep in mind he is a very strong and active 70lb pup) He is now allowed to be out of the crate under direct supervision and he is often found curled up asleep in it of his own will. Thanks Wayfair for selling a crate that makes my dog feel secure and is helping me get my best friend well again!

Our door saver from Panama City Beach, FL on 12/14/2014 – Verified Buyer
We have a 1/2 husky, 1/2 wolf that has extremely bad separation anxiety. Whenever we left the house, she would scratch the doors trying to open them and get out to follow us. I found this cage here on Wayfair. It arrived very quickly after ordering. Now, when we have to leave, we can put the dog into this cage. It is plenty big enough for her - she has room to move around if she wants to.

My only complaint about it is the "floor" section of it. It seems to hurt her paws - when she is in it, she would constantly lift up her paws like they were hurting. We put an old comforter in the bottom of it to make it more comfortable for her. In my opinion, it would be more comfortable for pets with a more closely "knitted" floor bottom, however, I do understand that the reasoning behind its design is for any solid pet waste to be able to go through to the bottom of the tray insert.

A No Regrets Purchase! from Albuquerque, NM on 11/25/2014 – Verified Buyer
Ordered Crate inspite only one review, but the review was from what I consider a "seasoned" person. Crate was easy to assemble with hardware and the little tool provided, is of solid construction, and quality workmanship. Our Shepherd Pup adopted it as his sleeping accomodation the very first night! We had just the right size matt to go in it, and our Pup loves even playing in it!
An added bonus are the wheels, which truly make it easy to relocate crate from room to room!
As mentioned in the headline, a purchase with no regrets!

Large crate from Savannah, GA on 07/15/2015 – Verified Buyer
We got this because our female German shepherd is almost 2 years old and has undescribable separation anxiety. When we are gone she normally attempts at destroying everything in the house. This is our 4th crate and still kinda hesitate about it because if she really wants to get out, I think she will. It's a heavy cage but the wire bars are thin and I can reach my hand through the cage up to my forearm. Granted, I'm a petite 27 year old women, but my dogs claws can do the same trick. She has been in it 3 times now and hasn't tired to get out and the reason I think is because we got the large crate and its very large. I honestly don't know where I'm gonna put it in the house it's that big. She is 75 pounds and I can also put our 95 male Shepherd in their with her too. The height of it is tall. She can sit up without issues and walk around. I think with the large size she doesn't feel confined. Only time will tell, but for those of you who know you have extremely destructive dogs, be cautious about purchasing this cage. I know she could get out, and with it being metal I am most concerned of her hurting herself if she attempts it.

Great crate for a large dog with destructive tendencies. from birmingham, AL on 09/11/2014 – Verified Buyer
We have an 80+lb lab with storm anxiety. She destroyed a large black metal crate. We were afraid she would hurt herself and needed a stronger, sturdier crate. This crate cost more but has been well worth the extra cost. The only thing she's bent up on this one is the label on the door (not sure how she did it).

Built to last from Kissimmee, FL on 10/16/2015 – Verified Buyer
I have a 70 pound pit bull and she has broken at least 3 cages before I purchased this particular cage. She finally realize she can't escape this one.

Pros: strong, durable
Cons: there is nothing in the bottom (floor) of the cage to protect the dog's feet. The steel hurts her feet when she's standing inside.

Well built cage. Some issues but overall good product. from Cuyahoga Falls, OH on 11/25/2014 – Verified Buyer
We needed a stronger cage after our pitbull decided to remove the bottom of his old cage. My wife assembled this cage and only had a problem with one threaded stud that was not quite right. I put a wrench to it and got the nut on ok. Like other reviews of this cage the latch is a little weak but overall I am happy.

Pros: walls and bottom are sturdy
Cons: screw threads not the greatest, Latch could be beefed up.

Nice kennel. from belton, MO on 01/11/2016 – Verified Buyer
Love it. It lasted 3 months but my husband was able to fix it. It outlasted all of the kennels we have bought this dog ! If you have a very strong and determined dog (ours is an american pit and strafforshire mix) it will eventually break the welds. For an average dog this is perfect would i buy another? Absolutely.

Heavy duty dog crate from Ellicott City, MD on 12/21/2015 – Verified Buyer
Overall my son is happy with the crate, he has a two year old pit that's 75 lbs and its the first crate she has not been able to get out of or destroy. Would have been a 5 star but was missing some bolts that he had to go out and purchase

Pros: Very good crate for larger dogs
Cons: Missing some bolts

GREAT QUALITY from Jamaica, NY on 01/23/2016 – Verified Buyer
Needed something i knew my dog couldn't break out of and this is definitely it. Only thing is this is probably more suitable for puppies with the tray being at the very bottom under the metal bars.

Pros: Very good quality
Cons: Tray being at the bottom makes it a waste being that my 2 year old is already toilet trained.
